syston_fox Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Sort of hope it's called off tbh. So long as they tell us in good time (i.e before 2pm) then I have no issues with this being called off either.
Thracian Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 I'll be glad too. Be just my luck to turn up at the ground to find Hullfox had collared the last two tickets.
Katy Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Sort of hope it's called off tbh. Me too, going to be bloody dangerous for the likes of me I'll be glad too. Be just my luck to turn up at the ground to find Hullfox had collared the last two tickets.

Praying it continues so don't have to go to work 2moro!
leicesterseddon Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Word of warning. My mate lives in Walsall, and she went back there today from Kettering and it took her three and a half hours, as opposed to her usual hour and a half. :(

Guest Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Word of warning. My mate lives in Walsall, and she went back there today from Kettering and it took her three and a half hours, as opposed to her usual hour and a half. :( Not surprised. It took longer to drive from the end of the M69 to the Foxhunter island (about a mile) than it did to travel all the way down the M69 itself. You've got realise the pathetic performance the Highway Agencies display across the country. You also have to realise that we don't have winter tyres as a compulsory measure in the UK, unlike many European countries.
BrummieFOX Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/wm/...st_weather.html Doesn't look too bad. Sunshine in the afternoon!!
Cobbo Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 Wrap a few of these round yer tyres and get on with it I'm sure the Scow corsa mobile would look great in them.
Hullfox Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 I'll be glad too. Be just my luck to turn up at the ground to find Hullfox had collared the last two tickets. okay
Daggers Posted 2 February 2009 Posted 2 February 2009 okay Can't - I believe the unfair priority system, four parking attendants and a bunch of illegal immigrants have snapped up the remaining ones.

As the second point, I read Sweden have them or their tyres for 11 months despite their decent weather in the Summer.

davieG Posted 3 February 2009 Posted 3 February 2009 When I were wee small boy chains on tyres during snowy weather were a regular occurrence.
Legend_in_blue Posted 3 February 2009 Posted 3 February 2009 Crewe's game against Yeovil is postponed. Stockport's game against MK is on though. We could do with this one going ahead if MK are playing tonight. I'd rather be ahead on points than having games in hand. Inspections at Cheltenham and Northampton. No mention of Walsall. Assume it's on people.
Daggers Posted 3 February 2009 Posted 3 February 2009 When I were wee small boy chains on tyres during snowy weather were a regular occurrence. THERE WERE CARS THEN?
Legend_in_blue Posted 3 February 2009 Posted 3 February 2009 Pitch inspection at 1pm. It's all good. Onwards and upwards.

You also have to realise that we don't have winter tyres as a compulsory measure in the UK, unlike many European countries. http://www.snowchains.co.uk/ what happens here tho, is that people don't want to use snow tires if they can (and they actually shouldn't) so when the first snow falls, no one has them on and it's too cold and snowy to change so it does get a bit messy, from then on it's fine - but most roads (certainly in town) for most of the winter are free from ice and snow (like england ).. and of course, some people forget to take them off, so norway has the shittest road surfaces ever, it's like beirut...
