Simi Posted 9 February 2009 Posted 9 February 2009 Would love to read some of the Chelsea fans comments from about September. ******.
Milky Posted 9 February 2009 Posted 9 February 2009 Steve Clarke to West Ham was a big loss. Especially with Ray Wilkins coming in!
GLC Posted 9 February 2009 Posted 9 February 2009 Chelsea have sacked Luiz Felipe Scolari with immediate effect. The Brazilian only took charge at Stamford Bridge in the summer and after a promising start the club have slipped to fourth in the table, seven points adrift of Manchester United. Saturday's 0-0 draw at home to Hull City proved to be the final straw for the World Cup winner and the Stamford Bridge outfit have now confirmed his departure. A statement on the club's official website read: "Luiz Felipe Scolari has been dismissed as manager of Chelsea Football Club today (Monday) with immediate effect. "The Chelsea board would like to place on record our gratitude for his time as manager. Sadness "Felipe has brought many positives to the club since he joined and we all feel a sense of sadness that our relationship has ended so soon. "Unfortunately the results and performances of the team appeared to be deteriorating at a key time in the season. "In order to maintain a challenge for the trophies we are still competing for we felt the only option was to make the change now. "The search for a new manager has already started and we hope to have someone in place as soon as possible. "While that continues assistant coach Ray Wilkins will take charge of the team on a temporary basis."
Simi Posted 9 February 2009 Posted 9 February 2009 Thank you. It's a myth. He does speak English. Not sure about this at all. I keep saying shite pundits saying "He's succesful at both club and country". No he isn't. What's he achieved at club level? **** all. Can see this going tits up for them. Hopefully.
Number 6 Posted 9 February 2009 Posted 9 February 2009 Haha Chelsea have a couple of brilliant years and their fans now want them to be world beaters. They have been poor this season but I'm just going to enjoy their misfortune for a while.
Phube Posted 9 February 2009 Posted 9 February 2009 What a ridiculous club. Yeah... getting rid of managers left, right and centre! Who'd support a club like that!!?
charliefox Posted 9 February 2009 Posted 9 February 2009 Yeah... getting rid of managers left, right and centre! Who'd support a club like that!!? Exactly what I was thinking...
Corky Posted 9 February 2009 Posted 9 February 2009 Yeah... getting rid of managers left, right and centre! Who'd support a club like that!!? We had a genuine reason for getting rid of some of ours. Mourinho, Grant, Scolari were all bad? Not sure about that.
Simi Posted 9 February 2009 Posted 9 February 2009 Guss Hiddink and Avram Grant double team thought to be the favourite choice.
dandannieldanok Posted 9 February 2009 Posted 9 February 2009 Thought Roman would at least wait until Juve knocked them out of the CL before wielding the axe.
