Thracian Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 It sound wacky but when you think of all the recent sightings of UFO's and you consider where they might possibly have come from, well, they do say fact can be stranger than fiction and that you should never close your mind to any possibility. Just randomly wasting my time I found this to be fascinating reading:- http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/luna/esp_luna_16.htm

Lillehamring Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 What a load of balls  space staion - yes. inconsistencies and unexplained freakishness - no. everything that should occur to a planetry satelite does not apply to the moon -
l444ry Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 At a cost of just under £3½ billion, BT have installed their first lunar Wi-Fi point by the Sea of Tranquility, next to the proposed site of the new Poundstretcher store. A spokesman for BT, Mo Byle said: "We struggled at first to find a site to place the mast, because we didn't realise that the moon is made from soft cheese and not the hard cheddar-like substance we first thought. "Also, we spent a considerable amount of our budget on a first visit to place notices of our intention to erect the phone mast. That space shuttle was an absolute bugger to drive. "Thankfully, we did find a couple of American flags and there was a large-wheeled vehicle to pin them to. It also seems, at this stage, that none of the inhabitants seem to have raised any objections to our plans. "I just hope that people will find our access point useful, although when we were last there, we didn't find many people around. With no weather-related problems, the signal reception should be fabulous. "But, I must add, with much dismay, that the current inhabitants have littered the moon with golf balls and crisp packets, which is really a very sad reflection on the moon people."
Babylon Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 recent sightings of UFO's On that subject, about 6 weeks ago I looked out my window and saw a really strange light in the sky. It was travelling from east to west and was south of me (wigston). It was like a flame in the sky, at first I thought it could have been a hot air balloon out at night (I wasn't sure they were even allowed to do that). Either way it was travelling too fast for a balloon, plus the flame was there for 4 minutes or so before it vanished completely. My Mrs said it could have been a shooting star, but it was far too close/big for that and not moving quick enough. Certainly wasn't a plane or anything like that. It had me stumped.

More like a shooting planet if it took over 4 minutes to burn up! The moon cannot be an alien space craft! Hitler is there with his London Bus and WWII Bomber. Fact!

BoneDog Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 I don't think anyone's lived on the moon for a few thousand years. Or Mars. Mars These things are 600 feet wide Tunnels on Mars Arthur C Clarke NASA UFO Footage from AboveEarth, its from the live STS-48 Nasa feed in 1991. Mully and Sculder would love this. From the STS-48 feed again. Alot of top scientists out there have a phrase that they use when talking about NASA. They say 'Never A Straight Answer'. These people include Professor Richard C Hoagland and Professor James McKinney. Top blokes if you ask me, I've heard some of their lectures and they are amazing.

That would have been one of those stupid Chinese lanterns that people release at weddings/special occasions nowadays. Saw one near my house on Christmas Day. Apparently the amount of UFO sightings has gone up no end since they became popular. I've read some weird theories on the moon. One suggested that the ancient Egyptians built it, or that that it was built by beings from our future to save the Earth in the past.
stez Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 it's got tacky commentary, but i've been intrigued by the footage after around 40 seconds for some years, since i first saw it. on a side note, i'd love to see a space shuttle launch in real life.

Did you know that somewhere in Australia there is a military base that has a laser weapon that can fire into space? This base is protected like Area 51 in USA and people are not allowed within 10 or so miles of it. It's in the middle of nowhere, desert or outback land not sure. I can't remember what it's called but it's not a secret. I saw that video once and thought about that base in Australia. If it is as it looks can you imagine the technology on these craft? They knew what was coming and shifted. It's similar to our fighter jets which have detectors on them that say when they are being targeted.

Monk Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 Thrac, just to clarify my position on this. No, the moon is not a giant space station.
Edmund Posted 11 February 2009 Posted 11 February 2009 Spaceship Moon: As outrageous as the Moon-Is-a-Spaceship Theory is, all of the above items are resolved if one assumes that the moon is a gigantic extraterrestrial craft, brought here eons ago by intelligent beings. This is the only theory that is supported by all of the data, and there are no data that contradict this theory. I want whatever he's on. In regards to ufo sightings, what a load of bull-shite. There is definitely other intelligent life forms out there in the universe but most probably to far away to know that we exist or ever know that we exist. Ufo sightings were the result of the cold war and the U.S government using hollywood as a scapegoat to test new aircraft. How come everyone but NASA report sightings of UFO, come on they have technology to take pictures of galaxies, I doubt they would miss an aircraft orbiting in our atmosphere. The moon is just the moon and there our predicted to be thousands of identical moons to ours orbiting planets very much like our earth in our own galaxy. There is actually proof of a solar system similar to ours within our own galaxy they have detected but thousands of light years away. Heres a good read on the moon : http://www.astronomycast.com/astronomy/epi...moon-come-from/

But how many solar systems are out there? I once heard a university lecturer stating that there were so many millions of stars out there that the probability of there being life other than our own is 100% and so many that the probability that he had a counterpart out there giving the exact same talk at the exact same time was also 100%. I stopped listening at that point and went to find my tin foil hat just in case they zapped my brains.
