Fox You Forest Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 Hope they score so we can see another half an hour, It's been a cracking game.
MC Prussian Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 This is still a cracking game, even with Dunne sent off.
Katy Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 Ireland needs to keep his head and the Hamburg player needs to stop milking it!
syston_fox Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 Excellent and brave performance. All credit to Manchester City for that one - the team and the home crowd were excellent throughout. Hamburg.... will be tough that one but glad that City are at home for the second leg. Can see them losing the away game and winning the home one! Only team to beat Hamburg at home in this seasons competition though!
purpleronnie Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 Love german football its a fans paradise. And someone stated how crap german football is, I think its extremely entertaining, they have a competitive league too. And for so called crap football they still managed to get a team into the 1/4 finals of the champions league and 2 teams into the semi finals of the uefa cup. Even if was crap it has cheap tickets, beer in the stands, terraces, and the national side doesn't do to bad does it? I wonder why?

TrickyTrev Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 Ooooh dear. Dunne sent off. No complaints for me - he's had that coming. He's so out of his depth its embarassing.
Corky Posted 16 April 2009 Posted 16 April 2009 City battled right up until the end. Unlucky. Went out with pride.
Ultra Posted 17 April 2009 Posted 17 April 2009 Anyone see that horrendous dive by Diego in the Werder-Udinese game?
shen Posted 17 April 2009 Posted 17 April 2009 City battled right up until the end. Unlucky.Went out with pride. They should count themselves very lucky to have gotten that far
Finnegan Posted 17 April 2009 Posted 17 April 2009 I like this man. Hardest working yet shittest striker ever. I do love him. I think he could run for ever.
Floating Fox Posted 17 April 2009 Posted 17 April 2009 That was something special last night. So glad I got tickets. In the away end as well. The had a megaphone and flares/smoke bombs. Quality. Best bit had to be the keeper (Frank Rost) coming over and taking the megaphone at the end and leading the humba dance. I have no affection to Hamburg, I should hate them really (Being a St.Pauli man) but I got so involved in the match last night. I couldn't look at one point, Man city looked like they were going to score every time they came forward. Robiniho looked up for it. The Home fans were very good too. I said the best noise I'd ever heard at a match was the last UEFA cup game when Villa fans were rallying vs Zilina but Blue Moon just after the 2nd goal was something else. Amazing, never heard anything so loud. Anfield can do one. The mancs were lucky as that was never a penalty and Hamburg had silenced the home crowd with the early goal from Paolo! The ref had an absolute nightmare. And Richard Dunne was actually having a good game for once as well - The city fans still love him. Oh one more thing man. Stephan Irelands car. Oh my!

Glad you had a great time. It was great on the box so being there must have been special. Do you have many more pics? Can I expect to see them on your facebook? Irelands car is a bit nice isn't it. I don't understand it though, if you are minted why would you NOT have a personalised number plate. Cheapo!!
CosbehFox Posted 17 April 2009 Posted 17 April 2009 Hardest working yet shittest striker ever. I do love him. I think he could run for ever. I love him too. He inspired me to get a Croat top. Runs all bleeding day. I'd love to see him play for my club.

Funny thing was, there was 3 Audi R8's parked next to each other. One was Spanish...Which stumped us a little bit. Yeah loads of pictures mate. I'm gonna blog them eventually when I get round to it. Maybe facebook after that aye. I love him too. He inspired me to get a Croat top. Runs all bleeding day. I'd love to see him play for my club. He's off to Bayern, for nowt as well I think...Hamburg fans still love him though. Great player.
CosbehFox Posted 17 April 2009 Posted 17 April 2009 He's off to Bayern, for nowt as well I think...Hamburg fans still love him though. Great player. Bayern attempting to 'turbo themselves' up for next season. Be interested to see how goes to accomdate for Olic and Tymoschuk on their wage budget. No doubt. They will have 'Ivica Day', just like Werder had 'Borowski Day' when he left in a similar circumstance. I think he's one of those fellas who has 90% footballing ability but 10% pure effort and makes him better than players blessed with 100% ability but nil work rate.

poynton blue Posted 17 April 2009 Posted 17 April 2009 Javier Garrido. or robinho but id doubt it. The Audi with the Spanish plate was Martin Petrovs He signed my daughters inflatable banana before driving off in it at high speed Seemed a lot of Gers fans in with the Germans last night because of the Rangers/Hamburg link

Loads of Gers. Plenty in the Old Monkey in central manchester (Where I tried my first ever non-mainstream English lager... Diamond ) and then we were just behind some that had a blue/black union jack. Forget what they call the alliance now.
purpleronnie Posted 17 April 2009 Posted 17 April 2009 Love how the germans after all the searches still managed to let off strobes flares and smoke... Wierd how they didnt seem to care about the germans doing it, but if some english teams fans had done the same it would have been treated like the end of the world.
