Alexikokopops Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I haven't enjoyed home matches for a long, long time now.If it wasn't for the people that are in L1 I'd have stopped ages ago. What the club have done just made my decision a lot easier. Kilworth has pointed out how badly we've been treated in comparison to clubs of a similar stature, it's not right. If it means missing some big away matches next year, there we go. I'll hopefully be in my first year of University and splashing out £200 isn't something I can afford to do before the ****ing season is even finished. Can you blame me? Spot on At the end of the day to all of youwho thinking of not renewing you have to think about what you thoughts will be on approx august 3rd - pre season coming to an end - us in the championship - a few new signings - 1 or 2 making heads turn - and you are faced with paying £24-25 a game instead of £12.50 a game if you renew - it domt take a mathmatision (sp.) if you have any slight intention of renewing how annoyed will you be if you dont do it till 16/03/09 or afteryou have to do it pre 16/03/2009 or you lose out - theres deadline for everything out there in the UK so just do this one without fuss - you know you will anyway when we win league 1 by 8-10 points and win 7 out or 8 pre season games. as you can tell - my decision was never in doubt....... Thankfully I have absolutely no intention of renewing whatsoever.
Fox in a Box Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I dont care I have mine so everyone can eat sh ite and die as far as i care Hello.
Corky Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I dont care I have mine so everyone can eat sh ite and die as far as i careHello. Are you Raj in disguise?
Kilworthfox Posted 13 March 2009 Author Posted 13 March 2009 For anyone who is vaguely interested.... or feeling like me...... I am at a loss. I am having an internal arguement with the side that wants a new Season Ticket because I am a Leicester City fan, but the customer in me is telling that side that "if" this was a product, which is easily bought else where, I would say "well if you are going to put a deadline on my purchasing then I will have to look elsewhere for a similar product". Similar products are very easily found, without the deadline at such short notice, I also have the option of 0% interest free payments. Why would I choose LCFC's proposals? The reason & we all know it is that with a football club Season Ticket you can't choose like a customer as your are either a fan or not, no middle ground. Also I am not one of these jump on bandwagon tossers who can think nothing of joining Chelsea, Man U or whoever just because it is easy, & I can feel great because they more often than not win each week. I love the away games, far more than the home games. When LCFC are playing at home next season there will be this pull for me to get down the ground every time. The truth is that the tossers who run the club have made me feel that I am just a number. Customer number 82146 is wavering what shall we (LCFC) do? Fook him he is 25 & in L1, if he can't cough up the dough now we will charge him an extra 5% later, if he is going to be spineless about it now. Also to teach him we are going to sell his ticket which he has had for years, so he can't sit / stand with his friends so he better fookin pay up pronto next time, like we tell him too. If I went to contact another club how would they treat me as a possible new ST holder? To think about it it is like changing mobile telephone tarrifs, they would welcolme you with open arms. To me LCFC are out of touch with their supporters. By all means offer a deadline, but one which most people can meet, and have a chat & decide if they wish to renew with their friends. We are not 100% guaranteed promotion yet, and it strikes me that the club wish to obtain funds and are shitting on their mainstay support in order to set them straight for the time being. I am 100% not going to renew before their deadline, which i have been told numerous times at the ground about, been e-mailed, text and sent a letter in the post about. Talk about being pestered, I should report them to trading standards. I just want to be treated decently, go about my support in a way that I feel is acceptable, by not giving in now I feel that my protest is justifiable to myself. If I get itchy feet later I will pay the extra 5% and know that I am happy in my mind that I am not just a customer number but an individual, who feel he has been pushed out of wanting his season ticket by those who wish to sell it to him. If I get desperate Cov, Derby, Forest, Notts County, Northampton, Sheff Wednesday, Peterborough aint that far away. One of these teams upper management must treat their fans better than Leicesters equivalent are doing to me right now.
Bert Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Away tickets will be more plentiful next season as we'll be getting bigger allocations and the new-found legion of fans who went to Northampton, MK and (will go to) the Posh won't be travelling to Ipswich. You'll have no danger of getting tickets at all for aways next season. Just look at last season. Do you have to be a season ticket holder to go on the automatic scheme? *I've renewed.
Tommeh Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 At the end of the day there's 23 home games 23 away games. Complete no brainer for me. Sure I'll be able to pull some strings to get to Forest/Derby if needs be.
Daggers Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I am having an internal arguement Do whatever will make you happy. I know that I'm not going to be sitting around listening to a radio - I'll be off doing other stuff with the kids.
davieG Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Matchday tickets currently start at £23 with the 15% increase for ST added to this next year they are likely to be £26+ and probably more for some key, Grade A games. Renewing an adult ticket ST in the Just the Ticket area costs £275 or just under £12 / match so with this you can in effect get to see half the games free. As many of you will know I'm not very complimentary on things LCFC off the pitch (ask Fatbloke) but there is no way I'm cutting my nose off to spite my face. Having paid for and sat through the last 4 years of purgatory in the Championship I just know I'll end up going so I've just renewed. It sticks in my craw the way we are being treated and I'm not talking about price increases but the patronising, sleight of hand presentation of the facts. But I have to say in all my many years of dealing with LCFC as a fan they've always stuck me as being naive, incompetent and lacking imagination when it comes to selling tickets. Even today I find they want to charge me £8+ for buying two ST with my credit card this after their system failed to recognise my debit card. Just to add this is not a criticism of the general staff but those who manage the system(s). Still I've got my ticket ordered now and will be looking forward to hopefully winning this league and returning to the Championship.
Scow Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I renewed at lunch time today and there was a good number of people in the queue. I've put it on a credit card as I refuse to pay the unjustified £4 a month direct debit admin fee.
Guest Bilo Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I renewed this afternoon and relocated! As of next season I will be in L1, Row KK. I also purchased the ST on my credit card to avoid the frankly scandalous £4 per month 'admin' charge and am thoroughly looking forward to enjoying some atmosphere next season.
Katy Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I renewed at lunch time today and there was a good number of people in the queue. I've put it on a credit card as I refuse to pay the unjustified £4 a month direct debit admin fee. Makes a total mockery of people trying to be sensible in shit economic times doesn't it? I don't have a credit card, I do not want one either - so for being sensible (and not loaded) I am forced to pay £4 extra for each installment. They can seriously go fook themselves.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I renewed on the friday before the Bristol game, and was lucky enough to be able to pay cash. I will be sitting in the same seat as last season (SK4, KK, 85) but the problem there is that there isnt a huge amount of atmosphere, though i will admit when its right it is buzzing around my area... which is great. I do think all this 'admin' crap is stupid and it is driving a wedge bewteen the club and the supporters. As was said yesterday, many clubs are freezing or reducing their tickets, and even incentives (why couldnt we do a 75% or 50% off renewal if we went back down next season, or something if we went up to the prem) (of course, we've gotta get up yet) It does seem a rip-off, and very harsh on people too. An extra £48 if you want to spread the cost over the year if you pay by DD... its ridiculous. Heres hoping that it is sorted out by next season

I'm confused - they said it would cost me £8+ to renew 2 STs using a credit card
Katy Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I'm confused - they said it would cost me £8+ to renew 2 STs using a credit card I have read in the crap they send though the post that for each installment there's a 4 quid 'admin' fee.
turkish14 Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Ive renewed mine but only because i have the fortune of taking 1 under 12 and 1 under 8, so three tickets cost me £345.
Glenfield Fox Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Thoughts? Renewed for me and my lad yesterday. £400 and got the season ticket books there and then. Couldn't be bothered with instalments. Also got given a free packet of Walkers Chinese Duck flavour crisps on the way out. Who says the club don't reward our loyalty.
andyh1884 Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 Renewed mine online. Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere but my confirmation email had a picture of Steven Hughes in the top corner. Nice to see their mailings are bang up-to-date.
Daggers Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 ...and so the club will continue to arse-rape the fanbase.

Daggers Posted 13 March 2009 Posted 13 March 2009 I knew you'd perk up when you heard the phrase arse-rape. You're obsessed.
