Ultra Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 To be fair, it WAS a stonewall penalty. Mike Riley really is an annoying, attention-seeking little fcuk. But United got what they deserved. Fergie's team selection was disrespectful to their own fans, to Everton and the competition as a whole.
C-man Posted 19 April 2009 Posted 19 April 2009 Delighted for Everton. United's team selection was woeful, deserved to go out. Who cares if they should have had a penalty? They would have missed anyway if Berbatwat had stepped up and dribbled that penalty towards goal.
Ultra Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Rio Ferdinand's interview after the game was a shocker. Basically he asked, in menacing tones, whether journos considered the team that played was good enough. It said plenty for the scribes that none was brave enough to say no.

United deserved nothing out of the game, piss poor team selection to de-value the competition and watch him go and blame it on Morph for not giving his team a decietful pen, in fact if I remember rightly they got 5 more pens but still couldn't take advantage
Ultra Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Check the replay. Jagielka definitely catches Welbeck's leg. Should have been a red card as well as a penalty. Apart from that, Welbeck looked way out of his depth. I hope we don't get him on loan next season.

Because he'd still look that far out of his depth at a lower standard?

Penalty; probarly, he barely caught him but he did so yep. Red Card; nope. I wouldnt mind them lending us wellbeck. From what i've seen of him this year in cup games he's done well. He might be out of his league against a team 6th in the prem with one of the best defences, but in championship he could do well.

C-man Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I don't see why Danny didn't play very Welbeck is still actually getting games for United. He scored one wonder goal, all the United 'fans' jizzed themselves and has done fuck all since. He wouldn't look out of place in a bottom half Championship side.
C-man Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 The funny thing is, if I was a manager of a club that should have had a penalty, that would be my EXACT reaction
samjohnson Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Fulham 3-ManUre 0. That's made my day. Same  Well done fulham... now would love to see fergie say goodbye in 43 different languages to his mostly foreign team.
Finnegan Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Same :laugh:Well done fulham... now would love to see fergie say goodbye in 43 different languages to his mostly foreign team. I enjoyed the result, not a fan of Man Utd at all, but what? Rooney - English Gibson - British born Irish (though he'd probably, fairly, disagree.) Owen - English Fletcher - Scottish Scholes - English Carrick - English Welbeck - English All played today, six of whom started. That's not "mostly" foreign mathematically let alone relative to the rest of the league.

Finnegan Posted 20 December 2009 Posted 20 December 2009 Erm yeh, but they do have alot of injuries Oh right, sorry, yeah. I forgot that Owen Hargreaves - English Rio Ferdinand - English Wes Brown - English Gary Neville - English Ryan Giggs - Welsh Jonny Evans - Northern Irish John O'Shea - Irish Could have been in the side, too. Thanks for the reminder.

weluv Posted 20 December 2009 Posted 20 December 2009 absolutely loving Fulham atm. Really hope Chelsea can win today, and Arsenal win their game in hand. Wheels are starting to fall off the scum wagon..with Villa doing so well i reckon they might not make the Champions League places, in which case they are financially fooked what with their £750m debt. Also, anyone else looking at Arsenal as dark horses for the title this year?

Also, anyone else looking at Arsenal as dark horses for the title this year? If Arsenal had of got the 2 extra points at Burnley then maybe, but they have gained 10 out of 12 points without playing well which they have struggled to do so in the past. I would love it if they won the league and they really do have a great chance, but I still think they are lacking a couple of players and will just miss out again.
Fox92 Posted 20 December 2009 Posted 20 December 2009 Fulham 3-ManUre 0. That's made my day. And mine Arsenal are sneeking up arn't they...
Guest Bilo Posted 20 December 2009 Posted 20 December 2009 Would love Arsenal to win the league after years of pundits rimming Man United and Chelsea and Man City spending like sailors on shore leave.
