Ever since he had that shocker for Leeds in Graysons first few games never got another chance.

Sheehan will travel with the squad for the game at MK Dons on Tuesday and is expected to make his debut there.

Lets hope the useless tw@t can do us a favour there.

Why people have a problem with Sheehan I will never know, great lad.

I'm sure Mablo would agree with that :P .

And who is this Richard Snodgrass? Brother of Robert by any chance ;) ?

I'm sure that somebody on here used to continually big this lad up.

Can't for the life of me remember who it was now.

It'll come to me I'm sure........

Can't be bothered to check but I think Sheehan still has as many goals and more assists in his much shorter time playing with City than Mattock has altogether. And frankly there's no comparing the two from an attacking point of view.

McAllister seemed to rate him well enough but a sending off (one of three in his career there) kept him out of games leading up to the play-offs and he was left out of the play-off final which may well have been a bad mistake.

Once Grayson arrived it was clear the two weren't going to get on and Sheehan's last performance for Leeds reflected this.

Crewe are a footballing side whose style should suit Sheehan and Dario Gradi - perhaps among the best coaches in the land - still has some influence there, I believe, and may well help to bring the best out of a player who, while bein obviously talented, also seems to have a self-destruct button.

Please don't trouble yourself to think of anything praising to say about any of our past or present youngsters. It would break the habit of a lifetime and I'm sure you'd choke on your own words.

I still believe Sheehan could of had a succesful career here at the Walkers.

Why, can he paint straight white lines?

I had nothing against Sheehan, I just thought he was ****ing useless. Couldn't defend to save his dear old mums life and seems to pick up suspensions more often than he could pull a bird on a Friday night.

All he lives on is that super left foot of his. Without that he's a League 2 player.

And there we have it. He was one good thing about him, not much else. A bit like Hammond and his pace. He's got lower league written all over him.

Just out of curiousity name even the one good thing (or more if you wish) about Mattock, Edworthy, Morrison, Hayles, Berner, Wayne Brown?. It gives me no pleasure at all but I've seen nothing from any of them at first team level to set them apart.

With Mattock I'm surprised and disappointed because he did seem to have potential but he doesn't seem to be moving forward any more than others among our youngsters except that perhaps he's becoming slightly less inconsistent but at the cost of no longer looking like a genuine wing back.

The fact is that Pearson has added just one decent attacking footballer to our squad (Dyer) apart from loanees (who have departed or got injured) and our football is starting to show it. Oh yes he's chosen to use the previously available King (and Gradel very occasionally and sparingly) and at the same time almost completely done without other decent footballers like Porter and Campbell.

In a football sense, while we did start to shine briefly, we've fast gone back to our old purely functional habits since the injury to Tunchev and haven't improved as a team one bit in the second half of the season.

Old failings remain, the lack of imaginative or fast/accurate set-pieces, the lack of pace in too many areas, the lack of collective support, the lack of sufficient off-the-ball movement and the increasingly poor passing.

I'm sure Sheehan went to Leeds for the chance to play some football under McAllister and imagine he'll have the same chance at Crewe. Sheehan is his own worst enemy. He's got ability in abundance but he seems to react wrongly to certain situations and fails to keep on top of the weaknesses he's got as a player by being as sharp as he possible can be.

Sheehan is not quick on the turn and sometimes makes the mistake of letting players turn and run at him unnecessary but he's no slower than plenty of others who seem to cope with this aspect. Perhaps at Crewe he'll get the help he needs, and, more importantly, be humble enough to listen.

I never said they were well rounded footballers either  If you want to know I don't rate Mattock (but still think he's better at playing left back than Sheehan), Edworthy and Brown are short term cover anyway, Hayles looks alright when coming on as a substitute (he was actually brilliant at Millwall) but I'd quite happily get rid, and I rate Berner.

In our time with us in the first team Sheehan wasn't this incredible attacking full back. His goals and assists were from set pieces, not from bombing down the touchline and whipping incredible balls in. Of your lists of faults with the current team the only thing I think Sheehan would help with is "the lack of imaginative or fast/accurate set-pieces". I don't think he would help in any of the others ("the lack of pace in too many areas, the lack of collective support, the lack of sufficient off-the-ball movement and the increasingly poor passing").

Edit: Paragrahps

plus the addition of being an arrogant big boots who always believed he was better than us.

Now if he delivers tonight, he'll be the best thing since sliced bread.
