I couldn't care less whether the Posh fans heard us or not, I enjoyed our atmosphere today and I thought we were loud at times, also it seemed the players could hear us ok, thats all that matters really.

I enjoyed the atmosphere today , fell in love with standing again and there wasnt one song that went round without me bellowing it out , hope i live long enough to see terracing return

Well done today big turn out :chant:

Posh fans were making a fair bit of noise i thought but what youve gotta remember is :

Posh normal games are 6000 - 7000 this is with an away attendance of we will say 500

Todays attendance = 14100

Regular Posh Fans = 6500

Leicester Fans = 4100

Not so regular Posh Fans = 3500

My personel believe is that this effects the atmosphere dramaticly. :scarf:

Away fans always think they are louder at London Road its just how it sounds on those terraces

But no disrespect but you lot were nothing special 2day probably 3 loud songs all game where as Leeds didnt stop the whole game even after final whistle we beat them 2-0 aswell

Hope we both go up automatically as enjoy playing clubs like Leicester but i cant help thinking that some of you think you are alot bigger than you are,

Your a good League 1 side but then guess what so are that little club Peterborough United just up the road. :P

We are soo big you spent you're time typing that on our board.

The Pub before was AMAZING!

Did i see you in there Killworhth?

If you're talking about the Draper's Arms, Kilworth was in there.

I walked in, they were singing 'No surrender to the IRA' so I turned right round and walked out.

What was the song that Peterboro were singing for ages at the end? That sounded good, and it always sends a shiver down my spine when I hear Carnival De Paris sang by loads to a drum. Apart from that their fans were silent, typical home support and ours is no better. But our support today was good, better than MK at least.

"We're going up as fcuking champions"? That was about the only one I heard from them..

Sadly, they may well be right.

Didn't you know Posh are a MASSIVE club with tonnes of history.

They should be playing in the Champions league!

Well, we brought about 4200. They only just managed those numbers back when before Cowboy Builder Moneybags came along......

at least teams like Leeds, Forest, Sheff Wed, Man City can actually be arrogant when theyre in the bottom 2 leagues because at one time or another they have actually been good sides with massive followings but ill be honest i think the championship is your rightful home along side the likes of Norwich, Ipswich, Wolves, West Brom etc, All good well supported clubs but not as good as they think they are :D

This is rubbish, we've regularly been in the top 20 highest attendances in the country over the past 5 years, despite being crap, this year maybe not.

It wern't that, they sang it for ages near the end after they had scored. + The attitude of our team atm has hit this seasons low, all this Pearson said about not getting carried away etc. well its hard to tell, we were outfought yet again today, if the attitude doesn't change then the top 2 positions will.

Today was a dismal experience from the strangest weather conditions i have ever experienced at a football match to our inept football as one of the so-called quality sides in this division. Admittedly, Posh looked hungrier and livelier, but the refereeing decisions left a lot to be desired and some gamesmanship. The one thing that made the day enjoyable was our superb support. It was certainly one of the loudest experiences i have had supporting Leicester and i am sure it was helped by the cowshed roof!

I thought the Blue Army did themselves proud and provided a great atmosphere to a game that resembled a morgue otherwise. I was shocked and surprised by the lack of noise from the home faithful, who only marginally sprung to life after the second goal. It was all very tepid from them and if that is meant to be electric from them, they must be used to a cemetery! I would like other Leicester fan's perspectives on this, particularly those that were in home sections. So much for it being their cup final, they did not seem willing to show any passion until the game was nearly over.

Blue Army!

I agree I remember Peterborough years ago and their support was large and noisy I couldnt bvelieve how quiet they were and that was on their best result of the season . I notice that that average gate seemed to be about 6,000 which is disgraceful they dont deserve promotion

Thankfully, they only sang that for about a minute, and it was just as I was getting served after a half hour wait at the bar otherwise I'd have been out the door too. fook's sake, when did we become Glasgow pissing Rangers? I'd swear that later, during the second half someone in our shed was actually chanting "UDA" as well, for about ten seconds. Who are these tossers, and who let them in the City? Chanting support for paramilitary sectarians never made sense at football matches but it makes fook all sense at a Peterborough v Leicester game in the 21st century. Stop it, whoever you are, you're an embarrassment to the rest of us.

And Daggers, are you sure they were Posh fans you were walking behind? Might have been me. Greg complained of his 'red ears' hurting as we left the ground in that hailstorm, and I couldn't blame him. He'd stood and sung in the front row of the shed while the rain and hail lashed into his face and the team played like shit, and then we got completely soaked on the way back to the train station. If I'd been 10 I think I'd have been crying, but he says, as we get on the train, "We're still getting season tickets for next year, right?" Bless him.

Overall, I thought we were loud and loyal, despite a crap performance on the pitch and unpleasant weather (thanks, Ian C, next time predict something a bit more cheerful, ok?). Second half the Posh fans at the far end were bouncing a bit, and you could hear them in snatches, but the two long stands were full of people sat on their hands with their mouths closed. And whoever said the front row weren't singing, they (we) were in the middle where we were - mostly families with children but still joining in. It was good to hear 'when you're smiling' and 'molly malone' done pretty well. 'Bring on the Sunderland and Arsenal' sounded a bit odd when we were two nil down to Peterborough though.

Maybe "Bring on the Hereford and Southend"?

To be fair, I was in front of Daggers, and I too was crying with pain.

I swear you dashed across me and my mates just outside the station. There were a load of people shouting about cabs at the time.

I'm also pretty certain I was in the same tube carriage as you between Bank and London Bridge the other week.

At least I think it's you...

******. Absolute ******. I was cringing in embarrassment that so many people seemed to be joining in. Anyone who did should fuck off up to Glasgow or something. They've no place as City fans.

Sweet. :D

I took refuge from the worst of it by crouching behind the smallest weather-shield in the ground - thanks LD3

Indeed our support years ago (you mean our game in 93?) was 10 times louder.

Corrections:

Our best result was beating Cobblers with 10 men.

If we finish in the top 2 we deserve promotion.

You might think it's bollox but acoustics really are terrible. You can't hear the opposite terrace from either end. Only exception this season was Leeds.

You have not been charged for this service.

Hi there Bob

To confirm what he says, yes the acoustics are terrible. Two seasons we have gone there with over a thousand and not shut up all game yet they didn't hear us once. However they did say they could see us all clapping and jumping up and down. It was much the same in reverse. We saw them clapping (only in the middle oddly and not too much) and couldn't hear a thing. It is the little bit on top at the front of the stands, it bounces the noise back in so it sounds great inside but crap outside

I too was crying with pain.

I did that from the 44th minute onwards. Then on the way back home and then even more at home. It took a repeated ''Total Wipeout'' to get to stop. That face from Wembley '93 came back.

Quite liked that if i'm honest. Cheesy, but decent.

I liked that, I say we nick it
