john_lcfc Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Any news on a minute silence? I think it is only right- we cannot legislate for some idiots that Leeds may bring or prejudice who will be in their support. Like someone said earlier, a minutes applause is wrong as it applauds achievement. Silence is only appropriate way to remember such a person connected to this great club of ours. Lets win the League for him
Thracian Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 A fan since the year our first FA Cup Final year, that's some support. Deepest sympathy to you Elaine and to the rest of your family.

Leeds fans have proved time and again they can't be trusted to keep quiet.
Craig Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Condolences to you Elaine, and the rest of your family. 60 Years of support, absolutely fantastic. RIP Derek.
Rich Fox Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 So sorry to hear about this tragic news Elaine it must have been a terrible shock but Derek had Leicester City in his blood and he will be remembered by over 20,000 people on bank holiday monday, not many people can say that. I lost my mother recently and am still grieving and that was sudden so I know what you are all going through. I will raise a glass to Derek away at Hereford and against Leeds and we will win the league now for Derek.

Please be assured that the paramedics that were with him tried so hard to keep him, they did everything possible. If it's some small consolation at this very sad time for you, your Dad went from you doing something that he loved.....watching City. There will be 20,000+ supporters remembering Derek on Monday, & we all wish you, your Mum Madeline & the family our condolences, we will be thinking of you. R.I.P. Derek
