The last time I had fun on FT was that one night where Fez, TPH, LD3, JME, Kokopops, Manwell and the others were all on spectacular form. The punnage was just epic to be honest, never been mathced since. I'm sure they remember the night, think it was July before an FT game.

I meant for the mistake.

Bitta controversy.

Oh I seeeeee. Rapid.

I honestly don't think I've seen KM since his last minute, 12th man, impact substitution in the first U21 vs O21 game.

I saw him before the Hereford game just after Christmas. He's no time for this riff raff now.

Fez, Holly and I had a season ticket with him last season but since then he's moved to London and disappeared off the face of the earth  I've seen him once since I think.

I blame The People's Hero. Without him, threads seem to stay broadly on topic and within the realms of sanity.

This is actually fairly true.

Bevan's got worryingly sensible lately n'all.

I'm worried I'm falling into this trap too. I tried bring back the "Catapultum habeo" thread the other day but NOTHING

To add a different perspective - that I'll no doubt be slated for amidst cries of "ohhhh, it's no fun on here anymore... why can't we post the same post 40 times in different threads in one night - everyone will think it's as hilariously funny as we do" perhaps a few folks need to consider that FT is a forum for a whole range of people who want different things from it.

Yes, I was pissed off that I felt the need to stay up till 5.30am the other night deleting the mindless, repetitive (and, to one person at least) insensitive crap that had littered the forum in the small hours.

Likewise, I know that other mods were unimpressed that they had to delete over 70 posts last night, again down to a very small group of posters.

Personally, I think it's pretty fucking ignorant of this minority to assume that those who moderate this forum have got nothing better to do with their time than go around cleaning up after them.

Banter is fine - there's been plenty of it on this forum in the past, but it's been posted at a level that is entertaining for those that read it and by those who have the maturity to know when enough is enough (and, on the few occasions when things have got a little over the top, the mods have judiciously stepped in to keep things appropriate).

Just felt that the wider 'population' of FT might be interested to hear an alternative opinion.

Had no idea that many posts were being deleted. I have noticed a lot of threads being merged recently and I appreciate that. It's a thankless job usually, and I appreciate it as it makes the forum readable.

What kind of stuff are you deleting?

I do think that whilst it is an open forum that we should put more controls over people joining? Not sure what though.
