Tilley Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 About their soccer school, Leicesters promotion push & O'Neil at Villa. All seem very confident we're up! Walsh said it is about promotion, not winning the league.

Finnegan Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Just seen that, was really good it was shown on SSN. Izzet still looks like he could play in league 1 easy. Until he botches his knee and never walks again?
Finnegan Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Gary Parker is actually the love of my life. Will never, ever forget the day he was sent off for taking a free kick too soon.
Asha Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Just seen that, was really good it was shown on SSN. Izzet still looks like he could play in league 1 easy. He can't though, struggled to play against Thurnby Rangers when he was down my yard. Still showed glimpses of his skill and passing, but physically nowhere.

Didn't someone post a few weeks ago about when they went to a Q&A night with Muzzy and a couple of other former players and it was said Muzzy has more tactical knowledge than skill?! Something like that. When there was a managerial vacancy for the last few times alot of people wanted Walshie - I wouldn't, but I wouldn't want that but i'd like to see an coaching opportunity for Muzzy here, obviously that is all up to the current manager and who he want's as his staff.

Didn't/doesn't he teach some of the youngsters? Like 13's/14's?

Jon the Hat Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Will never, ever forget the day he was sent off for taking a free kick too soon.
carterfox90 Posted 8 April 2009 Posted 8 April 2009 Will never, ever forget the day he was sent off for taking a free kick too soon. that night was a crock of crap how that game was not replayed cheated by a bastard in yellow if i remember rightly parker a great player

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 that night was a crock of crap how that game was not replayed cheated by a bastard in yellow if i remember rightly parker a great player  Izzet was sythed down twice in the penalty box blatantly and no penalties were given. Add to the fact that Brazillian shitbag Juninho scoring as well it was a horrible night.
Pst Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 I did the banners for them Muzzy is ever such a nice bloke, shame he had to retire so early. One of the best City players i've seen in my lifetime.
Legend_in_blue Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 Gary Parker is actually the love of my life. Gary Parker
lou Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 Ahhhhhhhhh those were the days.............. we grew to expect a goal from every corner and free kick!! Now I dont expect it to get passed the oppos first man
Corky Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 Muzzy and Parks could show Oakley how to take a set-piece. Walshie has always been confident, his old programme notes were always on about "why can't we do this? and we can do it etc etc." Three of my all-time favourite players.
jimmy7587 Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 Not bad having these fella's teaching the youngsters! certainly would have encouraged me! don't think andy king, levi Psssh, michael morrison would have the same pull though! who knows, they may develop into premiership stars!!
iancognito Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 I've never undwerstood why Muzzy or any of the old O'Neill side aren't involved in some way in the coaching. Elliott's doing alright at Hednesford, Lennon's done his badges, so has Parker I think, Gups is forging a career in the US. They could all teach the current crop a thing or two. Legends.
Katy Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 I saw this too and got overly excited. I'm taking my nipper to one of these in May half term.
lou Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 I saw this too and got overly excited. I'm taking my nipper to one of these in May half term. Have you got another one I can borrow? I was gutted my 18 year old wouldnt let me take him!
Matt Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 Is this just a coaching academy for the school holidays or is it a permanent all year round academy thing?
Katy Posted 9 April 2009 Posted 9 April 2009 Have you got another one I can borrow? I was gutted my 18 year old wouldnt let me take him! Sadly not, I think she actually likes playing it more than watching it at the moment so it seems a good idea.
