gerrytaggart Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 In all seriousness he will get you promoted, if not this year then next. As long as you get some of the money to spend on players to replace Beckford and Delph (who looked pretty ordinary IMO).The only reason I'm anti Leeds is the fact people on WACCOE are complete muppets, it's not just the odd one it's virtually the whole place except for a couple. And before you say anything about me being "obsessed" I go on all the boards of oppo fans and can talk with them about the games. It's impossible on WACCOE, the majority are so deluded it's scary. Is there another forum where sensible Leeds fans actually congregate? i've been barred from there twice now...i like the banter with rival fans but leeds are usually too agressive and defensive for my liking...they were complaining that leicester fans did not celebrate like we just won the cup?!?!?!...they think that playing the mighty (league one minnows) leeds united is like a cup final for us?? this probably belongs on a different thread. great game though I think we shaded it over 90 minutes and we had the best player(s) on the pitch. looking forward to southend no end like.
Hitesh Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 What a win! Just got onto the net for the first time since yesterdays win and it was fcuking amazing! Has to be one of the best feelings beating Leeds and to do it as a last minute goal was even better! It was well deserved in the end! Also really hated Bechio and his theatrics as well as the Leeds fans giving me a bloody headache with repetitive chant! Really hope we can wrap up the league title now and get out of this league!

Tommeh Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Anyone seen Fabien Delph? Don't tell me he's STILL in Andy King's pocket. CHAMPIONS.

Is there another forum where sensible Leeds fans actually congregate? Delphs been poor recently, although this is due to him being placed at the left wing spot. It is a bit of bad luck for him that he was chosen to take that spot when we needed someone to go there. He was chosen to fill the role instead of Kilkenny and Howson, and in return, those two have been amazing in those positions, that good that they've kept Delph in that position. It is unlikely that much money will be given to Grayson, as you all know, we have Ken Bates in charge. BRILLIANT! That is why promotion is so vital now, as Grayson could do wonders in the Championship with those two players still at his disposal. This will only happen if we go up. If not, Grayson will still be okay, as his success comes from mainly low cost players and loans. To be fair, WACCOE is as you say. However, it is like that due to opposing fans. For example, we had our first ever Peterborough fan join the forum this season after they defeated us. Instead of wanting to discuss football, he was the cliche arrogant, childish and pathetic so-and-so that you can sometimes expect. Ever since, WACCOE usually expects the rest of Peterborough fans to be as such. WACCOE has, however, had some fans join, being the first from their club, and be very nice and wanting to discuss football maturely. This has pretty much set WACCOE's opinion on them. Unfortunately for you, we had quite a few Leicester fans being... well, you know. That set the majoritys mind up on your lot. Its obviously not helped when some of your fans (who will no doubt in my mind be the armchair, go for a couple of games a season when its good times kind of fan) are being WUMs on there now. I wouldnt let it put you off if you are wanting to dicuss on WACCOE, as if you give it some time, youll get educated, mature and friendly respsonses.

We have Charlton, Forest, Derby, Peterborough, Cheltenham, Millwall, Sheffield Wednesday and Wolves fans on this board and the only fans who give us load of arrogant shit is Leeds and Coventry fans. That can't be pure coincidence.

No, but this was surely the last home game before you gained promotion, and a last touch winner almost garauntees it. I guess you'd forgot that as well.

Not really, if i'm honest I heard louder at MK Dons when they went 3-1 up (Thanks yet again Macca, Lucas in net, GENIUS!). It was loud, but really, i've heard better this season. In some ways i'm glad you're going to gain promotion at Southend. The reals fans who actually make noise (and a couple of my Leicester supporting friends!) will be able to actually create a promotion atmosphere. Really, like you need music over your goal to create sound. Tommeh Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 We heard you the 1st time. Seriously though Just be a bit gracious in your superior support please, we were rarely quiet during the game and when both sets are at it, you really don't take note of the opposition example. you're "we all love Leeds" we (to your left) were singing "top of the league with it" not standing in silence as all you lot seem convinced happened. Despite this fook all matters less in my life, the goal music didn't even register. Seriously Howards goal, the 1-0 scoreline and the league table are all I care about, for once.
Lillehamring Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 Class... that douglas had a wretched day, poor bloke

Finnegan Posted 14 April 2009 Posted 14 April 2009 I don't get the whole thing about fans. The Leeds fans seem to desperately be clinging to the fact they have a (VERY MARGINALLY) superior average attendance over the course of the season. What they seem to furiously be hoping nobody notices is that their stadium holds about ten thousand more than ours and their city is almost three times the size (and their fanbase easily more far reaching.) You don't have to be a maths expert to work out that this means we easily fill a higher % of our stadium and easily convince a higher % of our fanbase to turn up on a weekly basis. (& that frankly this means fuck all. Villareal is a nothing town somewhere outside Valencia and regularly attracts about twenty odd thousand fans... to their Champions League games?)

Is thinking the same yesterday about Histon and how small that village is. Yet they are in the fifth tier of English football. Incredible that ain't it?

FoxesTalk is full of away fans, and there is rarely any animosity even at game times, people visit FT for the footbal but stay for stuff like gen chat and the music threads... look around and you will see a forum full of lads and lasses talking about stuff and having a laugh, not just a bunch of saddoes dwelling on the past and complaining and swearing about everything and everyone. i'm sure waccoe has sensible considered posts, but trawlling thru the c*nting this and c*nting that and the shameless racism is just not worth my time, sorry.
