davieG Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Posted on: Mon 20 Apr 2009 Supporters attending the Foxes last home game of the season against S****horpe United on Friday, April 24 will be the first to see the brand new home kit. From 6pm on April 24th, supporters will be able to pre-order one of 2,000 new kits that are being made available ahead of general sale IN THE CITY MEGASTORE. The successful pre-orders will be available for collection or delivery from the beginning of June, giving City fans a month of exclusivity before general sale commences at the beginning of July. City's Season Ticket Holders will have access to an unprecedented 20% discount on the new kit, 10% as part of the existing season-ticket holder benefits, and an additional 10% as part of the club's 125-year anniversary celebrations. The new kit design will have a two year life span, although a one off, commemorative club badge will be emblazoned on the shirt next season as part of the club's 125 Year Anniversary, which will then revert back to the normal club badge in the 2010/11 season. The new shirt will also be the first since 1982/83 not to include a sponsor's logo. A club spokesperson said: "There is a real excitement both in and outside of the club about the forthcoming release of our new home kit. We believe we have come up with the perfect mix, a traditional Leicester City shirt that is free of a sponsor, coupled with a modern design, appropriate for the Club's 125 Year Anniversary. "We felt it appropriate to allow supporters at the S****horpe United match, our last home game of the season, to be the first to see the new kit, be the first to have the opportunity to pre-order the new kit and ultimately be the first to wear the new kit, before our general release which is scheduled for the beginning of July." City fans looking to be one of the first 2,000 supporters to own the new shirt are advised to pre-order at the earliest possible opportunity from the City Megastore.
Katy Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I'm just looking forward to wearing a shirt that doesn't have a load of crap all over the front of it

Exclusive Monthly Benefit I'll be pre-ordering no doubt, It would have to be something extremely vile for me no to buy it anyway so i'll pre-order and get it for the start of June.
Granno Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I hope this lives up to expectations. Can't wait to see it now.

I hope that isn't a euphemism for asymmetrical tosh. I'd be really, really gutted if it was. Just hope they've kept it simple.
Monk Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 This had better be good! I might get WEMBLEY 10 on the back, just to tempt fate
Ricey Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Does this mean we will be playing in the new kit or just hat it will be in the club shop?
Libertine Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Can't wait. Looking forward to a nice birrof retro.
samlcfc Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Does this mean we will be playing in the new kit or just hat it will be in the club shop? just in the shop
Tilley Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Lovely. Nice plain shirt, I shall probably pre-order.
Libertine Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Something like this pleeeeaaaaaase. With a nice modern twist and material.
Katy Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Urgh the Megastore will be rammed even more so before the game on Friday then. Much as I'd love this one early I can't see me enduring the massive queues for the pleasure.
Finnegan Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 I think anyone expecting retro is in for a shock. That, to me, reads like the only "classic" thing about it will be the lack of sponsor. "a traditional Leicester City shirt that is free of a sponsor, coupled with a modern design"
AjcW Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Guys i dont mean to shit on everyones head here but surely its still jako, i know ive mentioned this loads before but any other club that gets a new kit manufacturer announces it weeks before the kit design is revealed..... Middlesborough, shef wed etc etc

"a traditional Leicester City shirt that is free of a sponsor, coupled with a modern design" Exactly what I thought, complete contradiction.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 Guys i dont mean to shit on everyones head here but surely its still jako, i know ive mentioned this loads before but any other club that gets a new kit manufacturer announces it weeks before the kit design is revealed..... Middlesborough, shef wed etc etc The only thing I'm hoping for, is that it's NOT made by adidas . I honestly don't think it will, therefore I will not be disappointed!!! I'm on my own here, but I'd rather Jako than adidas for the simple fact that adidas cannot seem to make a plain shirt. It won't be jako either.
markbsac Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 i hope its not made by krapo or is it jako.....cos if it is i wont be wasting my money on it
RAFRUDY Posted 20 April 2009 Posted 20 April 2009 All I hope for is that they make the correct sizes aswell.
