Koke Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Jack, I bow down to your superiority. I'm glad you are signing for us.
C-man Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Delighted that Jaaaaaaaaaack Hobbs is signing for us.
Tilley Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Cool. Hobbs has grown on me. I couldn't stand him when he first came here, but him & Tunchev will be solid next year, I'm sure.
Joe. Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Brilliant stuff, glad to see Pearson's not pissed about with these two. Tunchev and Hobbs and the back next year - dream.
Guest Chocolate Teapot Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 By all accounts a genuinely nice man, and an outstanding prospect at centre half. Captain in the making? It'll be nice to have 2 good young centre backs here in Hobbs and Morrison who could form a hell of a partnership in two or three years. Think Hobbs has the ability to play at the top level, just as Thracian says needs to improve his distribution.
filbertway Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Psssh Psssh Psssh When did this happen?? The news about Hobbs is awesome
breadandcheesebrother Posted 22 April 2009 Posted 22 April 2009 Hobbs 400kBrown 200K from BBC rumours this morning. Very pleased we have got them. More happy about Hobbs. Everytime i see a thread by knowitall i get really excited. I LOVE YOU KNOWITALL Looking at those prices, it seems strange to recall that we sold Paddy McCarthy for £50k more than those two combined. Nice to see us doing good business at last. Doubt we'll see any more £2m's wasted on DJ Campbell-a-likes. Big up NP!
Walshy5 Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Any news on kisnorbo? Alot of people will perhaps disagree with me but personally id offer him a year
Ultra Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 We have enough cover in central defence. If Kisnorbo can stay fit, at this stage in his career he'd be better off at another club.
Babylon Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 I didn't think Hobbs would be good enough at the start of the season, he has improved so much every time I have seen him though. I really hope this is a pitch side contract signing, like we did with Pontus all those years back. That would really add something to an already exciting night!!!
Lillehamring Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Any news on kisnorbo? Alot of people will perhaps disagree with me but personally id offer him a year and he'd probably piss on it! when did he bcecome that desperate...
Walshy5 Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 and he'd probably piss on it!when did he bcecome that desperate... I cant really see anyone offering him much better tbh due to doubts over his fittness
FoxesFan123 Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 I cant really see anyone offering him much better tbh due to doubts over his fittness There will be plenty of Championship players willing to take a risk on a "free", championship-proven player. Don't get me wrong, I don't rate him very highly myself, but for other clubs, he's an international defender who was part of the best championship defence last year and available on a free. I can see someone like Palace or QPR going for him, maybe even Forest or Derby.
knowitall Posted 23 April 2009 Author Posted 23 April 2009 Slight hitch. I believe Leicester wanted to make an official statement about Jack Hobbs on Friday. Liverpool have not returned the paperwork for the deal to be completed. Everything has been agreeded, but waiting on Liverpool now. Kisnorbo has not yet been offered a new contract with Leicester. I do believe they will, but on less monies. Will he take that? Depends what other offers he gets.

Kisnorbo - won't be fussed if he goes but can't see him getting many offers with higher wages than we offer so we'll see! Oh, and thanks knowitall!

I'm suprised we might be offering Kisnorbo a deal too tho, not bcos he's not capable as I would prefer him to Brown in some ways but we will have Tunchev, Hobbs, Morrison and Brown. I guess a good plan would be to let Morrison go out on loan as I see a lot of potential in him! That would give us 3 very solid CB's fighting for places. Any news on Gilbert joining too or any more on Stockdale signing permantly and do you rate him as potentially our no.1 next year?? Cheers!!!

I thought Parry got thrown out of Liverpool a while ago?
Hitesh Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 I thought Parry got thrown out of Liverpool a while ago? He is "stepping down" at the end of the season I believe. They announced it a while ago but would still be in the role so he could find his replacement.
filbertboy Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Great news about Jack and Brown !! thanks knowitall !!
Daggers Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 Kisnorbo has not yet been offered a new contract with Leicester. I do believe they will, but on less monies. Pretty much all popular rumour has this. Fair enough on him, we paid for him to relegate us and then sit on his arse - if he wants a decent contract then he needs to work for it. If that's not for him then he can tit off just like shiteface Campbell.

jimmer Posted 23 April 2009 Posted 23 April 2009 It would be nice to know the problem with Porter really. I don't think it's on ability, he can be a useful player, so it is probably about other things, such as discipline and attitude.Pearson must have a valid reason for not picking or including him at all, I don't think he's the sort of bloke or manager that just leaves out players for no good reason. After what Psssh did its no wonder he is where he is..... On ya bike son
