Bert Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Looking forward to the friendlies already! First one is the 11th of July.
lou Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 This supposed Liverpool friendly - would it be appropriate to take two 2-1/2 year olds to it?My daughter's married to fervent Liverpudlian so would be a good game to initiate them into the delights of football without unduly influencing their future allegiances. Yes, if you dont mind going to the loo every 5 mins with them and getting them drinks and food at very regular intervals.... ask for seats near the aisle
Manwell Pablo Posted 20 May 2009 Posted 20 May 2009 Blackpool away Seaside and piss up for the weekend of my 22nd. My Birthday too so with you on that.

lcfcadam Posted 21 May 2009 Posted 21 May 2009 For the double header on Sat 11th July (Loughborough Dynamo - 12PM, Tamworth - 3PM), which game do you reckon Nigel would send the stronger squad to? I've just tried to see if you could realistically get from one to the other on the train but you can't unless you're willing to miss some of one game...

Father Ted Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Shrewsbury away on the 25th July. Nice touch. Link: OS
Fosse Boy Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 Shrewsbury away on the 25th July. Nice touch. Shame they don't play at Gay Meadow anymore...
Matt Posted 27 May 2009 Posted 27 May 2009 My mum works with someone who's husband has something to do with Shrewsbury and said we had a friendly lined up with them a few weeks ago I meant to mention it on here but forgot. I'll probably go to Tamworth, Hinckley and maybe Shrewsbury out of the listed teams so far. I wanna game v Nuneaton Town (Would have been announced by now if were going to I would have thought), and I know the physio of Atherstone Town so wouldn't mind a game against them.
Jiggers the Fox Posted 28 May 2009 Posted 28 May 2009 Shrewsbury away should be a top friendly!! got a mate who's a die hard shrew so the banter will begin! been to a couple of games at the new meadow, nice tidy ground it is.
Koke Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 Forest are playing Sporting Lisbon away in a pre-season friendly, and we're playing Loughborough Dynamo.
Dan Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 Forest are playing Sporting Lisbon away in a pre-season friendly, and we're playing Loughborough Dynamo. When the final whistle goes you will be thankful
Koke Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 Nah mate. Any excuse to go for a piss up in Portugal in mid July. And this would have been the prefect reason.
Dan Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 Nah mate. Any excuse to go for a piss up in Portugal in mid July. And this would have been the prefect reason. Yeh I agree with you, me Dad reckons we're arranging a friendly at home to a Premiership or La Liga team so that could be decent.
Red Leicester Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 Forest are playing Sporting Lisbon away in a pre-season friendly, and we're playing Loughborough Dynamo. They don't have Dickov to worry about.
Munzie Posted 30 May 2009 Posted 30 May 2009 They don't have Dickov to worry about. If it were up to me, for as little as his bus fare, that could be rectified.
Tommeh Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Will they arrange a friendly for late July/early August at a costal town or London or what? What is there to do in Shrewsbury? New ground, even thats wank and identical to Colchesters. Think of the fans please, 1-2,000 at somewhere in Leics or 100 of us down at Weymouth.... Useless ****ers.

Weymouth would be a nice gesture, help out a club in need of cash. Am I right in thinking they're still in dire financial straits still? I know Ian Ridley took them over again but not sure how they're doing...

Yes please - I own shares in that damn club so I want to see whos little toe I own.
Guest Posted 31 May 2009 Posted 31 May 2009 Weymouth was the last place I went on holiday with my family. Today's uninteresting fact of the day was sponsored by something quite boring.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 Pre Season friendlies in Australia should be the order of the day
Munzie Posted 1 June 2009 Posted 1 June 2009 Pre Season friendlies in Australia should be the order of the day I'm up for that. Maybe we could redeem all the left over exciting monthly benefit vouchers in our season tickets for airmiles. With the amount of unused vouchers I have, it should be enough for two first class return tickets. I would love to see City play down under against some of your wonderfully named towns... Wollagongsingalong FC, Upshit Creek United, Shagawallaby Town to name a few.
