Then everyone will come on here afterwards and moan about how the fact we lost 3-0 to their reserve team shows how far we are away from premier league standard.

I wouldnt bank on it Liverpool playing a weaker team as such because if the proposed date is true of August 1st then this will probably be both teams last Friendly of the season, as we are coming up to the World Cup the League's start earlier. So the likes of Torres and Gerrard would probably get a substantial amount of playing time. The rest of your post is probably true though!

Two teams I like (Atletico and PSG) are playing at the Emirates on the Sunday (my birthday), there's cricket on at Lords that weekend and we could be playing Liverpool on the Saturday, AND MY COUSIN HAS ONLY GONE AND ORGANISED HER WEDDING IN BRISTOL FOR THAT WEEKEND. Fucks sake.

The ground will be full with local Liverpool shirt wearing ****** and the atmosphere will be wank. We will probably lose 3-0 with Ngog scoring twice. This friendly does not appeal to me in all honesty. I've seen us play Liverpool many times and I remember times where we took them to the cleaners. Back when we were the dogs bollocks. Why couldn't we just play a foreign team like Weder Bremen or Galatasaray, or even Fenerbahce [for LD3's satisfaction]

They are flying out to Norway a couple of days later to play SK Lym on August 6. This, after flying to Switzerland and Bangkok. Hope it's not them now because they will be unrecognizable.

They play Peterborough and Colchester on 18th and 21st July respectively. Man Utd in Indonesia from 18th to 26th.

If City were pressing this as part of the Hobbs deal the Liverpool might well have said, fook it, we'll send them the ressies. Who knows though.

Oh god yeah, it's an atmosphere I'll never forget in a hurry. I watched them in February against Wolfsberg in the UEFA cup. Totally gobsmacking!
