Fox in a Box Posted 24 June 2009 Posted 24 June 2009 We are to play dynamo remeber the true glam tie!
James. Posted 24 June 2009 Posted 24 June 2009 Is it really worth worrying about? I just take it for granted these days. As it's off season the moaning opportunities don't come as thick and fast as they usually do, therefore any chance to have a moan, however small (and this is pretty small), needs to be jumped on. Fortunately when we lose 1-0 at home to Swansea we won't have to put up with this petty moaning about the marketing departments use of words as all the moaners will congregate in the Pearson Out thread for some serious moaning. Essentially people love to moan and I love to moan about people moaning.

Moaning bastard. Talking of mowning didn't we win runner up at grass cutting?
Dan Posted 24 June 2009 Posted 24 June 2009 That's not the case al all Fezzler, I can't tolerate anymore spin! It's the suggestion that Valladolid is a glamour tie! Agree with that. But suppose its a step up from fooking Birmingham
ACF Posted 25 June 2009 Posted 25 June 2009 Moaning bastard.Talking of mowning didn't we win runner up at grass cutting? You know where your coat is......
Dan Posted 25 June 2009 Posted 25 June 2009 Who's going Tamworth then? Was going Tamworth, Loughborough and Shrewsbury but on holiday for the first 2 and have a wedding when we play Shrewsbury, pisstake.
C-man Posted 25 June 2009 Posted 25 June 2009 I love Valladolid. Stop acting like spoilt brats over a bloody pre-season friendly. Not everyone can play the big 4, especially when they spend half the time playing in tournaments against other big European and world teams. Plankazoids.Shame Asenjo won't be there by then but I can't make it anyway. I was going to write something along these lines yesterday but couldn't word it without sounding a cunt. ^^^ This is perfect. Real Valladolid - glamour tie? - embarrassing. As far as I know we finished 45th/92 football league clubs. Real Madrid and Barcelona can't play everyone can they. We're playing a La Liga team who play in purple. I really can't see the problem.
Head Honcho Posted 25 June 2009 Posted 25 June 2009 Any rumours going around about us having a few games abroad?
Head Honcho Posted 26 June 2009 Posted 26 June 2009 Where would we fit them in? There's not much happening between the 11th-21st July just a Leicester XI so I think maybe then.
Guest Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 Seriously, do people think that even if we managed to get one of the so-called big teams we would see all the big name stars, and not the fringe players? If that were to happen, you lot would moan about that as well. Then slag the club off the next season when they said that they were trying to arrange a similar fixture.

Also, we had Birmingham last year as our "glamour" friendly, and it was an entertaining match. We've got Valladolid, let's hope it's a good game.
liamsm Posted 27 June 2009 Posted 27 June 2009 Hi anybody going to the Loughborough dynamo and then onto Telford
Shrenchel Posted 28 June 2009 Posted 28 June 2009 Some laughable comments on here. People have absolutely no perception of what kind of sides we can attract for friendlies in our current position. Just been reading the Valladoid forum. They're playing Stoke, Wolves and Ipswich as well. They seem excited to be playing two premier league sides and pretty happy with the Ipswich tie (consider them a 'historic' team and know of Roy Keane and some Spanish geezer that plays for them.) No-one has even mentioned the Leicester match apart from one lad that wrote half a sentence about the date and time of the match. Says it all really.

Ignorant bastards, Don't they realise how MASSIVE we are.
Daggers Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Since when was any friendly important? What does it matter who we play, really? My only gripe is that I remember a time when we used to play abroad. Nothing better than a foreign pre-season jolly.

Funny that is i'd say we're possibly the biggest name on there, yet joint bottom position
Bert Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 I remember we went to Greece one time. Like Daggers said, it doesn't really matter who we play. I can see us going abroad for a week after the Tamworth game. Pearson won't want 10 days without a game.
