Fox You Forest Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 Poor mans Winston Bogarde. Doesn't he run a waffle shop in Holland or something now.
Guest Posted 16 July 2009 Posted 16 July 2009 His focus seemed to be clearly on leaving city earlier this summer, so it looks like money is keeping him here so far. Personally I would prefer to be playing every week, having said that who knows how peoples mentalilty and priorities change when in these situations of inflated salary.P.S Hi all He's said he wants out and so he should go. In fairness though, it's too easy for fans to say that players are greedy for not leaving when on decent wages. At the end of the day he was in non-league 4 years ago or so and if he really is on #20k per week he knows he'll never see that kind of money again. He'll have a big ol house and car and probably a family to feed and they'll be used to a certain standard now. It must be fairly difficult to purposely accept maybe #10-15k a week drop in wages for doing the same job at a different company. It's not his fault we paid over the odds. Also, compared to Dickov and Hayles he's far superior - if we could train him to stand ONSIDE he could even be useful off the bench but the whole situation is becoming rather poisonous for the whole club. IF we can't sell the NP should busy the hatchet and look to use anybody who can add value until he can get in quality replacements- and from all but about 2 of our signings so far this summer I ain't so sure we're gonna be getting that quality 3rd striker we're all waiting for...

DanTheFox07 Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 We haven`t got rid of him yet, they will have to agree to his wage demands first remember.
Guest Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 We haven`t got rid of him yet, they will have to agree to his wage demands first remember. If there's one club in the Championship who won't bat an eyelid at his wages, it's QPR

FOX_TROT_07 Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 http://www.skysports.com/football/transfer_clockwatch14.36 Skysports.com understands QPR are closing in on the capture of Leicester City striker DJ Campbell.
Guest Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 still says 'closing in on the capture' of DJ, i.e. not fully complete yet as it does in the other thread
Tilley Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 He never really got going here, I wish him the best of luck. Hope we're milking QPR for some serious money!
