Guest Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 I love a good wildlife lesson, never expected to find one in a thread about DJ Campbell
Onions Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 If I was rich Id buy him for my local team....... just to get him out of Leicester.
The Doctor Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Thats T-Rex's not bears with bears you need to play dead instead.
norfolkfox222 Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 All well him going! But how bad do we need 2 strikers!!!
Sniffer-Clarke Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 All well him going! But how bad do we need 2 strikers!!! According to my son that was very evident last night at Mansfield
Budweiser Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Well, to be honest, Campbell didn't really get a proper run in the side. Maybe he could have been decent? Anyway, it's still decent news he is leaving.

Maybe this will pave the way for DJ to go there, and then for NP to bring in whatever, in the way of a striker or two.
lcfc81 Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D._J._Campbell If you follow the history it was done by the same guy that 2 days ago edited Wiki to say Leroy Lita was at Leicester
Hitesh Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Taxi for Campbell!!!!! Not needed, he's so far offside he is nearly there!
maddog Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Can't believe people just keep dismissing him like he's a piece of shit and just flush him away. He can score goals in the Championship, he should be given another chance, Fryatt and Howard both got theirs. We need strikers and we don't have to pay a penny in transfer fees and other fees if we keep Dj. We should still keep him, i don't give a fook what he says, if he's with us he will have to knuckle down and play. We went down from the Championship due to a lack of goals up front, and the same thing could easily happen again, we may need all the help we can get. Any extra striker we can have at the club is a massive bonus.

Bert Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 I like the guy, but if he doesn't want to be here, then I don't want him here.
Ozwin Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 You can't say what he said and get away with it. The fans wouldnt forgive him and when he returns with another club next season he'll be in for some grief I'm sure. He deserves it.
maddog Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 I'm sure if he felt welcomed by the fans and NP gave him a chance he could turn out nicely. The fact is theres 2 weeks until the season starts, Fryatt and Howard didn't work last time in the Championship, infact they were both awful, Dickov is too old now, Chambers is too inexperienced, so where the fook are we going to score goals from. New strikers we sign now won't play with the squad long enough, may come from overseas so not only will they have to settle and get to know the players, they will have to get to know England and Leicester. And therefore may take 10+ games of the season to settle in. NP should have signed at least 1 striker at least a month ago to give them time to gel with the players. If we go into this season relying fully on Fryatt and Howard to get the goals then i am going to be shitting myself. We don't want to be saying we are fooked before a match has even started when Howard is injured or Fryatt is injured, that just causes massive negativity with the fans which rubs off on the players. Fryatt has a fooking shocking goalscoring record in the Championship, and Howard didn't do great with us last time out and is miles and miles away from the player he was at Derby. Dj may go or may stay, but if he does end up staying we have to give him a chance and id rather he is on the bench than Dickov, even if he doesn't want to be there.
Ozwin Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 I think NP knows what he's doing, he'll know to bring in 1 or 2 more strikers he's not a complete berk. I'm sure he's just not willing to pay over the odds for players, he's keping his cards close and biding his time. He's not gonna go into next season with just Howard and Fryatt, no chance.
Guest Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 I'm sure if he felt welcomed by the fans and NP gave him a chance he could turn out nicely. If he hadn't publicly stated that he'd rather be anywhere than here, I'm sure most would welcome him back. Fact is he did, and has to live with his choice of action

Fryatt and Howard never played up front together in the championship. If DJ hadn't have said that he'd do anything but go back to Leicester, then maybe some fans would welcome him.

Right so you think thats good the fact he doesn`t want to be here and he is gonna play to the best of his ability in that frame of mind? you don`t want some like lita who is for one younger and proven at premiership level.
