DJ Back!

If I remember Becchio was Wayne Browns B*tch when Leeds came to the Walkers stadium.

How much I laughed every time Becchio tried to get the ball only to end up eating grass, Brown was fantastic in that game.

As for DJ... the less sais the better

I'm hoping Fryatt can use last seasons winning mentality to get his scoring into double figures in the championship this time round then we really won't need that overpaid whinger who doesnt want to play for us here anymore imo and will be completely justified in getting rid of him. We'll never get anywhere near the price we paid for him but at least if we can sell him that should free up the wage bill a little and maybe we can sign another striker who actually wants to play for us.

I can see DJ having to come back here.

if he gets his head down and tries to prove his worth and most importantly apologises for saying he'd rather be anywhere but here, then fine, otherwise he could disrupt the squad harmony and that can't be allowed to happen

Wouldn't want the DJ back after is comments towards city. Brechio I like, I now all the comments about Brown having him. But one swallow doesnt make a summer. I thought he had a good season at Leeds and provides something different city lack at the moment. Having said that with Beckford leaving I dont think Leeds would want to lose both their main front pair.

atricle on sky sports text that i read last night, Holloway was talking bout the fact he knew that campbell was on high wages at leicester and doesn`t know if he can entice him to blackpool, he also said about he doesn`t know if Leicester want to keep him or get rid of him, the article goes on to explain that Leicester refuse to comment on Campbell`s situation!!! does anyone think we might be keeping him???

I doubt it very much. I think Cov is his most likely destination.

Its final Blackpool are out of the race

Blackpool boss Holloway, who worked with the 27-year-old during his spell as Leicester manager, had hoped to sign Campbell this summer but revealed that the former Brentford and Birmingham striker was not willing to take a pay cut.

"His agent has made it totally clear that he isn't going to take a drop from the money he is on."

Surely this means we'll end up stuck with the wantaway striker who'll do nothing but waste precious money that could be better spend on strengthening other areas of our team <_<

Gotta pay the ****er one way or another...I'd keep him here and let him rot if that's his attitude. I'd tell him to stay away from the 1st team and let him train with the kids. I don't see why we should pay him off so he can go and get another club and get paid again.

We may end up offloading him on a free, just to get him off the payroll...

I doubt the transfer fee is the problem, certainly doesn't appear to be for Blackpool it's his wages so unless someone signs him and pays the full amount we'd still have to pay his wages or the difference for the next 2 years.

Unless the lack of fee meant the club could then in turn afford the wages.

I think you are right though he will end up on loan somewhere.

He's got to go one way or another. Not the worst player in the world but his attitude stinks and he is the figurative elephant in the corner of the room that serves as a reminder of the stupidity of summer 2007. As long as he remains at the club he's a link to the worst period in our history, whatever it takes to get rid (short of wrapping a bag of housebricks round his legs and chucking him in the River Soar) it should be done. Chris Coleman over to you.......

No thaks. Don't want the kids' attitude being turned either. Plus, him and Psssh might not get along :P

One can only hope DJ tries to impress in the first few weeks of the new season, raising interest from some other Championship clubs so he can be sold for a reasonable amount of money.

Although, DJ impressing in a City shirt...

(I give the guy the benefit of the doubt and wish for the best - who knows how DJ could fare in 2009/10?)

i wouldnt let him train with any of the squad, in fact i'd ban him from both the stadium and the training ground purely based on his attitude. we dont need people like that around the club or the other players. hopefully he'll go out on loan somewhere and impress and win a transfer. frustrating realy as he seems to just about have the ability but his attitude is nothing short of awful

What exactly has been so bad about his attitude?

He said he didnt want to play for us again? Cant blame him if hes not been getting games here, any player would probably gain a similar attitude.

when he did play he didn't exactly look bothered either, doesn't seem the type that'll just get his head down to win his place back, more a sulky arse little billy big bollocks

Good point, but answered better. He isn't what we want in the team.

fook him off to Leeds in exchange for Beckford. Get a player who might be able to perform for us at Championship level for one who definitely won't for little outlay. Kills two birds with one stone.

Just looking on the season review and 07/08 goals - every time we scored he didn't celebrate with us he just trudged back to the half way line. No interest in LCFC at all.

I pray he goes to QPR, they have more money than sense.

Also how he can have a bad attitude at a club like Leicester is beyond me, hes ex fooking Yeading, to not have the determination to do well here is madness.

Exactly, you'd expect a player who has started at the bottom would have a good hardworking attitude and realise how lucky he is to be where he is, looks like that 1 game v Newcastle seriously went to his head.

He celebrated all of his goals.
