lou Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 The bottom line with Campbell regardless of his ability, if he doesn't get along with anyone in the team or management, it's hardly good for morale. Whos said he doesnt get on with any one in the team or management?
CosbehFox Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 Whos said he doesnt get on with any one in the team or management? Personally I felt it was apparent on a couple of performances last season. It's fair to see he's at least upset with the management for not playing...having an unsettled player is hardly going to help the atmosphere at the club.

Cheese Me Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 I tend to agree. I think we are looking for the best price possible to help fund the move for a striker. I think we are desperate just to get him off the wage bill too. This That's why I think he'll end up going on a free. Especially after Holloway's comments about not being able to afford his wages at Blackpool, doesn't exactly help our negotiating position getting rid of someone we don't want who doesn't want to play for us
CosbehFox Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 ..... any professional footballer would be pissed off at not playing... thats a long way short of not getting on with anyone in the team or management! So why didn't he want to come back then and prove himself to the management? As professional footballers being pissed off at not playing....given the way there's a few in the Premiership who'd rather get splinters in their arse then go down a division to play, i'd say it's a bit naive for any of us to say that.
Pricey Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 At the end of the day he doesn't want to play for us so we need to get rid. It's obviously proving harder than expected though probably due to his wage demands. We need to bring in striker(s) sharpish though, so if it continues much longer we might have to release him to free up some funds. Hope it's all sorted soon.
DanTheFox07 Posted 24 July 2009 Posted 24 July 2009 well if he isnt in the squad 2morrow then we can presume he is still signing for qpr, otherwise surely needs to start playing!
David Guiza Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Magilton rules out move for DJ <_< , Will he ever go .
Unabomber Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Magilton rules out move for DJ Bollocks we need to get rid of him somehow.
Joe. Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 There's absolutely zero chance of him leaving before the end of his contract without us having to pay him off in some way.
jimmer Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Magilton rules out move for DJ This is really depressing! Italian trialist Alessandro Pellicori has also featured in the Rs' pre-season games and could yet earn a contract but, asked if his shopping list included Campbell, Magilton replied: "Absolutely not. seems people are realising how shite he is for the money he wants. Terminate his contract all Allens fault
Babylon Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 To terminate his contract you have to pay him in full... we may as well keep him.
MC Prussian Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 And here's me hoping that Dudley "DJ" Campbell will somehow realize that he's paid for scoring goals as a striker and that he'd better be coming up with a good form and bang them in on a more or less regular basis - because at the end of the day, if you don't perform, there's hardly a good chance of switching clubs for an appropriate fee later on, once the current contract runs out. Free transfer = agent earns less, player earns less. The pressure's on the DJ. Unless he wants to deliberately turn into a laughing stock.
jimmer Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 DJ > Dickov. If he isn't leaving, just play him. But he's openly stated he doesn't want to be here.......no desire or passion, hardly going to be inspiring performances.

Guest Bilo Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 My underpants would go all warm and gooey at the front if I read the words 'contract terminated by mutual consent' and they alluded to Campbell. We're not that lucky though are we?
