Jon the Hat Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 If we are at risk of him not leaving then he needs to be involveed in pre season. If everything else falls apart we are better off keeping him.
DanTheFox07 Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 fook him then, if he is going to these clubs unwilling to make any sort of a sacrifice when it comes to his wages then he isn`t intrested in football at all. Leave him in the reserves to rott i say, then who know`s maybe by the time january comes around he`ll want to leave accepting reduced wages.

Lets still pay his wages but not use him in any capactity whatsoever.
Hackneyisblue Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 No, fook him, I wouldn't even let him play with the reserves or the kids. Sometimes you need to make a principled stand
DanTheFox07 Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Yeah, good idea.Lets still pay his wages but not use him in any capactity whatsoever. He isn`t even been played at the moment and hasn`t got a squad number kind of tells u something!!!
C-man Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 DJ > Dickov. Give it a rest, eh Dom. When did Dickov go from 'shit' to a 'shit fucking twat'?
Tilley Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Give it a rest, eh Dom. When did Dickov go from 'shit' to a 'shit fucking twat'? Come on James... Everyone hates DJ after what he said about wanting to play at anywhere but Leicester, which is fair enough. But DJ Campbell would do more of a job in the Championship than Paul Dickov.

I don't disagree, I just saw that you'd posted and I bet myself that you'd mention Dickov and it made me laugh when I saw you had!
dandannieldanok Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Would rather keep DJ than get Kevin Phillips.
Tilley Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 I don't disagree, I just saw that you'd posted and I bet myself that you'd mention Dickov and it made me laugh when I saw you had! Haha. I'm getting too predictable. Maybe my hate campaign has gone a little too far regarding Dickov, I just think he's a League Two player now & would much rather see DJ on the bench if it's proving so difficult to find him a new club.
Messi Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 No, fook him, I wouldn't even let him play with the reserves or the kids.Sometimes you need to make a principled stand A Certain Someone Is Happy You Said That
Joe. Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Would rather keep DJ than get Kevin Phillips. Thought you had a bit of sense Dan, come on, that's just ridculous.
Hackneyisblue Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Would rather keep DJ than get Kevin Phillips. Campbell has made it clear that he wanted away, Pearson has made it clear he doesn't want him here. He'll be like a dead man walking and his attitude could drag other players down especially when he is earning twice as much as most. Surely we've seen enough of him to know that he isn't actually very good. As I said, time to make a principled stand. Mind you if he came on against co* and scored a hat-trick I'd love him forever
Fox92 Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Magilton rules out move for DJ Damn! Blackpool cannot afford him, QPR don't want him which is sensable and he don't want to be here at the club himself. Can't we just stick him on eBay? Would rather keep DJ than get Kevin Phillips. I would most probably but I'd take Phillips on loan...
dandannieldanok Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Thought you had a bit of sense Dan, come on, that's just ridculous. Sorry but the thought of Kevin Phillips up front with Howard, Fryatt or Dickov just completely puts me off going to any games.

Maybe my hate campaign has gone a little too far regarding Dickov, I just think he's a League Two player now & would much rather see DJ on the bench if it's proving so difficult to find him a new club. To be honest, I don't think you'd find an 'in touch' fan who would advocate Dickov being so close to the first team. He's past it, but there's lots of people on here calling him a 'fucking twat' etc which I think is more than unnecessary.
C-man Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Sorry but the thought of Kevin Phillips up front with Howard, Fryatt or Dickov just completely puts me off going to any games. I really can't understand this. Kevin Phillips has played for England and he's one of the best finishers of the modern era. I'd love to watch him week in, week out. Fair enough he's getting older, but in my opinion, there wasn't a better finisher outside the Premiership than Phillips last season.
Fox92 Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 No doubt about it I'd also love Kevin Phillips, but at the apparent price and his wages we would be paying a bomb out for him. Take him on loan anyday, as it would be for free perhaps, but the price for a 36 year old striker is ridiculas. He is a top man though, a great finisher and will score at this level
Manwell Pablo Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Seems pretty clear to me. DJ likes his wages, we don't want to pay them, neither does anyone else, soloution. DJ will probably go on loan, with us still paying a small fraction of his wages. Everyone wins, except us, but then if we will buy wank strikers for 2.6 Million we should be made to live with the consequences
Matt Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Come on James... Everyone hates DJ after what he said about wanting to play at anywhere but Leicester, which is fair enough. But DJ Campbell would do more of a job in the Championship than Paul Dickov. This, their both shite, but if I had to choose it'd be a no brainer. Haha.I'm getting too predictable. Maybe my hate campaign has gone a little too far regarding Dickov, I just think he's a League Two player now & would much rather see DJ on the bench if it's proving so difficult to find him a new club. I'll join.
Benji Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Let's be blunt Dickov and/or DJ need to get the fk out of this club. The combined wage bill is cringeworthy.

Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Let's be bluntDickov and/or DJ need to get the fk out of this club. The combined wage bill is cringeworthy. DJ must be on more money than Dickov surely? Whatever they are both on they don't deserve it.
Benji Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 I like your style! DJ must be on more money than Dickov surely? Whatever they are both on they don't deserve it. Almost certainly. Either way, collectively it's an insult.
