Jimmy Posted 28 July 2009 Posted 28 July 2009 The problem with Mattock is that come next summer he will go for nothing, except the pittance compensation. If he doesn't look like he will sign a new deal then we have to get rid now. has there been any indication he won't sign a new deal?

They are leaving it late if they haven't started discussions yet. My point is, if the club know he won't resign, they would be stupid not to cash in on £2m now if they can.

The kid the 100% Leicester and even said it was the "Best moment of his life" when we won league one. The negativity towards him on here is amazing. He is 19, he has turned down Villa, West Ham and Everton already so the fact some people are saying he would leave on a free is a simply just an opinion of a few that for some reason dislike him.

I do agree with you but i think you will find the club turned down west ham not mattock and i dont think everton actually made a bid for him even though they are linked to him every other week.

If he goes eventually lets see a Gary Lineker approach when he hits the full England squad and we get 40 million. I remember him at Barnsley 2 yeras ago. Head and shoulders above any other Leicester player. It cant be underestimated how a Leicester lad will perform in this type of match to keep us up. Oh short memories...
