BlabyFox Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 Keepers = Loads but need a top quality goalie. Defense = Solid Midfield = 1 or 2 more needed, need a bit of creativity. Strikers = Can steve and matty cut it in the championship?
dandannieldanok Posted 22 May 2009 Posted 22 May 2009 I think we're still well short personally. Obviously we need a keeper and possibly another right-back unless Edworthy stays. I think we could do with a couple of versatile midfielders because we'd be struggling badly with 1 or 2 injuries. Definitely need at least one more striker, and hopefully someone below the age of 30. A few injuries and suspensions with our current squad would see us struggle in the championship.

I think he's done alright... I can see where you're coming from but I think we have other areas that need strengthening more

Problem is that will be 8 signings and Mandaric did say only six after Brown and Hobbs so slightly worried. Think we will be solid at the back next year and hard to beat, but our defence was good when we went down so a quality creative Midfielder a must and a also a quality Striker a must!!

MC Prussian Posted 24 May 2009 Posted 24 May 2009 I'd say offense wins matches, defense wins the Championship. We need a good, strong, reliable keeper on a multiyear contract! It's been a while since we had such a commanding person in between posts. And the days of Leicester goalkeeping glories are fading away... (Not to say that our offense needs some strenghtening, too)
