Peter Shilton threw the ball to our Welsh international right back Peter Rodrigues, who was approx. five metres outside the goal area, and on the extreme right by the touchline There was a big open space in front of him, but for some reason, as Shilton was backing to his own goal line, Rodrigues decided to pass the ball back to him. He overhit it, and the ball screamed into the top left hand side of the netting. You should have seen Shilton's reaction. If that had been scored at the other end, it may well have been the goal of the season. Come to think of it, it may have been.
