i find this a divisive album... just in my own head. Some days ill love it and just flow with it.... other days... ahhh wtf???

What am I not listening to.?

 

I was watching a snowboarding video which a friend features on and it was soundtracked by this - so I had to view it on mute. I've had the misfortune to have forcibly encountered shite like this before, largely through advertising. Wtf is this genre? and I'm curious - are there people that would preferentially listen to this at home or in the car of their own volition? What's with the quivery helium vocal effects and the awful tacky synthetic percussion? Genuinely, I am utterly unable to comprehend that anyone can see any value in it. I'm genuinely fascinated that there's a market for this - assuming there is? It's so utterly dreadful it actually makes me feel like causing criminal damage - and I don't have an aggressive cell in by body. Surely this can't bring the best out in anyone? I'd rather listen to that awful goal music piped through a Sonos on 24 hour loop for a week. 

 

Explanation anyone?
