I realised, only very recently, that whilst I’ve called quite a few songs over the years “my favourite of all time” that my actual favourite was staring at me all along and I’d been ignoring it. It had been there, looking at me from a cassette tape we used to play in the car on family holidays when I was a kid. Then for some unknown reason it suddenly dawned on me last week. Up On The Roof is my favourite song of all time. I cannot, no matter how many times I’ve heard it, not smile when I hear it. 
 

Been listening to this particular version recently. Over and over.

edit... fvck, just put earbuds in and clicked play...didnt realise volume was at max... lol blew my head off with that opening riff :)
