Joe. Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 I'm quite pleased with this one from what I've heard so ar. Bristol City fans seem to rate him (some more so than Basso), which can only be encouraging at this stage. He's more than likely going to be our number one next season then I'd imagine, good luck to him.
Red Leicester Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 Watch out, watch out, the pun censor is about It's OK - he doesn't Wealed any power in this section of the forum.
lildave3 Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 If you're going to make a pun on his name at least come up with something more imaginative than replacing "real" or "really". I think its been done to death already. Hey! Mine was good!
James. Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 If I see any more plays on the name "Weale" I think I might flip out and go on some kind of murderous spree. If you're going to make a pun on his name at least come up with something more imaginative than replacing "real" or "really". I think its been done to death already. <_< Right, that's it Do you need to get laid or something? You seem a lot less tolerant of late.
Lillehamring Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 Does this makes the Weales on the optimistic bus go round and round, round and round, round and round?I mean to say, he's Wealey not Martin Fulop. shouldn't you change your sig as well....?
MC Prussian Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 I suppose BBC Radio Leicester will rename next Monday's "Weale In" to...
FilboFox Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 This story's got us partially onto the Championship page on the BBC site too... Nearly there The story's only there because we're signing him from Bristol City... who are in the Championship. That said, on SSN, it does come up under the Championship tag!
Nick Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 Well we are keeping Hendo also so I'm not sure necessarily if we will sign Stockdale as well (even on loan), methinks they may chance it and spend the money up front....... keeping those extra wages for transfer fees?

BCFCFAN Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 Hendo has gone. Hiya, another Bristol City fan here. Weale's a fantastic keeper and City should never have let him go. He commands the area, is a good shot-stopper, has a long kick and is generally very tidy with his distribution. Imagine having not really played much for 3 seasons he will be rusty to begin with but given half a season under his belt he'll comfortably be one of the best in the division. Also, having been number 2 at Ashton Gate he won't be signing for anything other than the number 1 jersey. Good luck next season, looking forward to seeing you at Ashton Gate.
Bryn Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 Weale's a pretty good keeper, I don't think he's backup at all. Not to say that I sqWealed when he signed, but I almost cartWealed.
DanTheFox07 Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 Haven`t seen anything of this guy, but obviously been blighted by injury`s through his career, bit of a gamble in that respect but nobody has doubted the guy has ability so lets wait and see.
leicesterseddon Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 He'll either be a brilliant find or a damp squib. Let's hope he's the goalkeeping equivalent to Hobbs's transfer last summer. Would be quite content with Weale, Stockdale and another younger lad or Pentney as 3rd. We need three decent keepers next season, and we've got the time now to make sure we won't need to call on emergency loans half-way through next season like we had to last year.

Red Leicester Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 Not over the moon, but I'll still give him a big Wealecome during the pre-season games.
bluebeau Posted 29 May 2009 Posted 29 May 2009 Do we still have a goalkeeping coach?Someone to be steering Weale in the right direction. Yes we do. We have an excellent GK Coach in Mike Stoweale!
