McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow.

I can't be arsed to look through the thread, but have people posted because they think it's good? I watched five minutes of it the other day and I found McIntyre himself bloody awful. Then there was another chap on and that was painful.

Maybe it's young people's humour

I think McIntyre's getting a bit painful, he annoyed me in the most recent one but he also only did about five minutes.

I think his guests have typically been excellent. Nearly everyone last week was great, Rhod Gilbert and Stewart Francis are brilliant comics. This week was weak in my opinion.

And yes, Jo Caulfield is the least funny person ever. I honestly believe I'm funnier than she is.

The appreciation of comedy being as subjective as it is, you could well be funnier than most of the turns on it to a lot of people

Sure, but Jo Caulfield is so bad I honestly don't know a single person who finds her amusing. She must have done something right to get where she is but lord only knows.

I'm not especially defensive when it comes to "feminist" humour poking fun at oh-how-silly-men-are but it's just that everything she comes out with is a tired cliché that's been done to death.

I haven't seen her so I shouldn't really comment, but is it that women have a different sense of humour to us? I know a lot of very intelligent women who's company I very much enjoy, but only a few of them would I say I share their sense of humour with, and I'm struggling to think of a female comedian I actually like

Yeah poor compared to last week

:dunno: Comedy's something I've had in common with a couple of girlfriends, really. Similar tastes in stand up, comedy films, literature, the works.

I'd say I know a broad spectrum of both lads and girls of different mentalities and, like I said, I really don't know anyone that finds her funny. She just isn't very good - as an individual she is poor, in my opinion.

Just watched this and was very impressed with John Bishop, 1st I've seen of him and he was excellent.

Big fan of Manford usually but that set wasn't the best.

McIntyre is getting extremely annoying and overshown now however, and how he introduces the performers is cringy as.

Skipped through the other 2, looked shite.

The only women who have ever genuinely made me laugh are Kristen Schaal and Dawn French.

I thought it was absolutely shocking tonight. Not one person actually made me laugh, and I skipped the whole of the Northern bloke.

Ouch.

Will watch this on iPlayer later. Is it Steve Hughes the Australian? If so he's fucking brilliant, I like him. Tomkinson isn't bad either, actually, I've seen him on the Comedy Store / Jongleurs before.

Shappi Khorsandi is funny on pannel shows and stuff like that and I'm sure I've seen her do Live at the Apollo but I can't remember if I enjoyed it? I don't have bad memories associated with her so it was probably good!

This.

Mcintyre was the only one I actually found funny and he was the compare.

Jongleurs unleashed has ten times better comedians.

That yank was frustrating. Talk about time wasting spending his whole act on one joke and the long pauses after each joke.

The others were below average, had there reasonably funny moments but like ive said seen better at jongleurs.

I didn't think it was anywhere near as bad as some of you are making out, all about taste really.

Personally, I thought it wasn't too bad.

Was just brain dead comedy in my view. Like I said I thought Mcintyre was genuinely funny but the others were just your average run of the mill stand up comedians. Ive seen better in stand up comedy clubs including semi pro's.

But down to taste I suppose

I thought the American was decent tbh.

Sean Lock and Alun Cochrane next week anyway, bound to be gold.

yes mate.

Haven't seen/heard Alun Cochrane.

Anyway, about to watch last night's episode on iPlayer
