DB11 Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 This England goalkeeper isn't very good Walcott's a greedy ****er. Milner overhits the ball too much. Cattermole and Muamba seem to be ok though
Matt Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Hard to blame certain individuals, but Joe Hart has to feel he has a part in not being able to play in this final, needlessly getting booked in the last match and leaving us with the keeper we have in - As I said i'd have chose Joe Lewis personally. Having said that can't just focus on blaming the GK's, We haven't been good all over, not being able to break past the midfield, and throughout the tournament we haven't been the best.
BlueSi13 Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 2-0 Game over, unacceptable goalkeeping from Loach, two shots to deal with in this game and they've both gone past him, and now with no strikers on surely theres no way back for us now, despite this i still believe the future looks very bright with this team, all we've lacked i feel is an out and out big strong front man, if we had that along with Hart in goal this game would perhaps have been very different, this "Germany" team looks very beatable to me...ahh well onwards and upwards
Matt Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Ouf! Cattermole hits the crossbar. C'mon, just get 1 goal and see how this pans out, I feel if we can get 1 we'll get a very different end to the game and we might scrape the draw sending it to extra time atleast...we'll probably still lose though
Matt Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Fuks sake, 9 times out of 10 that is a goal. A breakthrough is coming.
purpleronnie Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Looks like germany will now have won the under 17's, under 19's and under 21's, not sure what they do at grass roots but maybe we should take a nosey.
Matt Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Bloody hell, another ball hits a German player on the line Why didn't we start the game like this? Definitely much playing better now, spose the mentality is we have nothing to lose now though.
BlueSi13 Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 No way is this game ever a 3-0, if our B team can outplay this German side then our A team certainly should have, didn't think the lack of anybody upfront would have effected us this badly....big lessons need to be learnt from this....the major one being....bring more than 2 fooking strikers
davieG Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 I can understand us not scoring but virtually 10 men behind the ball for the whole game and we still concede 4 goals laughable.
BlueSi13 Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Maybe we should pack our team full of foreigners and maybe we'll have youth set up like them
DB11 Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Maybe we should pack our team full of foreigners Or maybe you should stop being jealous or trying to find defensive reasons
Bert Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 The problem tonight was no out and out striker. Walcott seemed to drift to wide and was too predictable, we had no hustle and bustle up front at all, the Germans were just eating us. Milner kept looking for free-kicks and Penalties and was never going to get them.
Brainy Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Atleast they don't have to live with the reputation of being Europe's best u21 team.
C-man Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Or maybe you should stop being jealous or trying to find defensive reasons There's no need to find any excuses. We did well to get to the final and we should be proud of that. We were just thoroughly outplayed by a decent German side on the night.
