Well seeing as I posted what you have taken offence to the morning after they were eliminated, and I was expressing a fully justified opinion, I'd say there was a need for what I wrote: ''I'm glad Serbia are out, bunch of racist, cheating thugs.'' I described them as racists, remember the 2007 U-21 Championships? Obviously most of it was coming from the fans, but I expect something was said in the tunnel after the game. I described them as cheats; I don't know whether you saw their game with Sweden but the way one of Serbia's players rolled around on the floor to get Bajrami booked (and make him miss the semi-final) was pathetic. I described them as thugs. I don't like to use statistics from just one event because it can give an unfair representation, but I'll make an exception for you. In the same game against Sweden they picked up 8 yellows and 2 reds. And if you seriously think I'm saying it because I dislike Serbia or because I'm a racist, then you're a paranoid cunt.

Even when Campbell was idiotic, there were no visible frustrations from the English players, they just got on with it and eventually overcame the challenge. If we leave anything on that pitch we'll lose, but I can't see Pearce letting that happen.

Matt Posted 29 June 2009 Posted 29 June 2009 Not the most inspiring of team for England, having said the our 'strongest team' haven't been up to much, Personally best performance of the tournament for us was when we played out '2nd string', but it's all we have and have been forced to pick the players because of suspensions, e.t.c. Personally i'd have put Joe Lewis in goal, but Scott Loach has been chosen. Loach Cranie - Richards - Onuoha - GibbsCattermole - Muamba - Noble - MillerWalcott - Johnson Subs - Lewis, Taylor, Stearman, Gardner, Rodwell, Tomkins, Mancienne, Driver, Rose.
