Samilktray Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 The big question is, what number would Ronaldo wear as Raul is number 7? Big question
Uncle Albert Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 The big question is, what number would Ronaldo wear as Raul is number 7?Big question Hopefully he will make a unique number like 'Sexy Beck's' did, probably go to his Portugal roots of 17.
Sparky Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 The big question is, what number would Ronaldo wear as Raul is number 7?Big question Bloke rang Sky to say a few months ago Ronaldo ordered a numberplate CR9 So maybe 9 or maybe bollox
Samilktray Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Bloke rang Sky to say a few months ago Ronaldo ordered a numberplate CR9So maybe 9 or maybe bollox Didnt he trademark CR9 and do something to do with it in his clothes shop thing he has? Remember hearing about that now I think about it.
breadandcheese Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Thinking about the Real team next season, on paper it looks beautifully good but I can't see them doing well. Casillas Ramos - Pepe - ? - DrentheDiarra - SneijderRonaldo - Kaka - RobbenRaul Their problem will be fitting Raul into the team. Unless they stick Raul in the three behind the striker, I can't see him playing well as the main striker holding the ball up for the midfield three. He just doesn't seem the right type of player for it. Huntelaar would be better I think. I also can't see them sticking Sneijder into a holding role. He hasn't got the game for it.

This could be their biggest problem trying to fit all of these players into the eleven, nice problem to have I know. I think a few players may opt to leave the Bernabeu this summer, players like Sneijder, Gago, Vad Der Vart, Huntelaar and Ruud. Them players arent going to be content sitting on the bench week in week out. And surely Real are going to have to cut the wage bill down?
Jon the Hat Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 And surely Real are going to have to cut the wage bill down? Why? Richest club in the world.
Uncle Albert Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Why? Richest club in the world. I don't care how rich you are no club can afford to pay a player £200,000 a week and plus the amount Raul, Kaka, Van Nistlerooy, Van Der Vart, Sneijder, Diarra, Sergio Ramos and Guti are all on.

Shrenchel Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Why? Richest club in the world. How can a team that's 600 million euros in debt be the richest in the world?
Edmund Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Gordon reminds the world that Ferguson is a Labour supporter, that there are still Labour supporters left in England even if there aren't so many English want to vote labour and that those who are here, actually come from other countries. Politics in every thread I open at the moment.
Uncle Albert Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Zidane/Figo > Kaka/Ronaldo Zidane > Kaka Ronaldo > Figo
purpleronnie Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 How can a team that's 600 million euros in debt be the richest in the world? Almost all the big clubs have huge debts he probably means in terms of income.
Darkzzz_ Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 When I went down to Burger King earlier I saw some kid that already had Ronaldo on the back of his shirt. Looked like he'd written it on himself with marker pen. Hadn't even bothered to do a number. fooking disabled Expect this to continue. Those on the Barca bandwagon different then? I don't know about the others but with 7 games at Camp Nou under my belt I am sure I am safe.

dandannieldanok Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Nani's thoughts: "Cristiano's departure is not impossible to fix. "He will be missed but United have other players who can replace him." I agree with him that Ronaldo going won't be impossible to fix but no way do United currently have the players to replace Ronaldo effectively. The only way they'll fill the void is to buy another player.

Koke Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Ronaldo won't have another 07/08 season again, at least not in the foreseeable future. He was an absolute beast that year and I just got the feeling Man Utd got the best performances out of him and made a profit of £68m from when they first bought him. Man Utd are definitely the winners here. Kaka has been on a bit of a decline in the past few years and he's 27. Ronaldo is 24 and whilst he will definitely have good seasons for Madrid, he will never touch the heights of 07/08 IMO.
lildave3 Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Real Madrid could have bought Newcastle pretty much the same price.
purpleronnie Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Seems Mr ferguson has contradicted himself......again.
MarkDeVries Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Ferguson can suck on my cock. Not literally. Good news, Man United will sign who?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Looking forward to seeing United splash this cash.
