Bakey Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Man Utd should try to get Ribery and sign Tevez with the money The only man that can attempt to fill his boots IMO.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Biggest mistake Ronaldo will ever make. Almost nobody goes on to better things when they leave Old Trafford, and the gulf in class seen between Real and Barca this season suggests that Ronaldo won't be any different. Like Beckham in 2003, I suspect shirt sales are a big motivator in this move by Real.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Man Utd should try to get Ribery and sign Tevez with the money It just shows how silly the transfer money is for Ronaldo. They could buy two world-class players for the price of one and still have change. Crazy.
Koke Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 About time too, Thank fook. I'm glad this has been resolved so early in the summer. Another summer of Ronaldo bumming Madrid saga would drive me over the cliff. Unlucky Man Utd, but if they spend the money wisely like Juventus did after the Zidane sale, then they'll be alright. As for Madrid, I hope the fucking fail miserably, although it is highly unlikely.

Joe. Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Isn't Ribery linked with Madrid as well?! Their spending could become astronomical this summer (not like it hasn't already though to be fair).

Cant see him going there now Ronaldo looks to be going there. Hes not gonna want to play 2nd fiddle to CR. Plus thats just plain greedy on Reals part
AjcW Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Forlan next??? I Think so... Hopefully Atletico can keep hold of Kun Aguerro though.... I love watching Atletico play but losing both of them would be a massive blow.
FoxesFan123 Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Its gonna be a very, very, hard task to replace a player like Ronaldo for Man Utd. Unlike a few years ago, I don't believe there are as many "wonderkids" available. I'm gonna suggest two names which, although may sound crazy and never happen, I beleive could do a good job in filling that role: Robben - With Ronaldos arrival, Robben no doubt will be looking to go. Apparently he's available for less than 10mill, and we all know that, when fit, he can be a top, top, premiership winger. Ronaldinho - may sound like a crazy suggestion, he hasn't played consistantly well in 2 seasons, but this is Ronaldinho. Remember the crazy skills and tricks he was pulling out just a few seasons back, head and shoulders above any other player in the world then. He's not old, he's still got it in him I beleive, plays like Ronaldo with the tricks, and would be available from Milan...why not?
Koke Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Tommy Docherty is dead on the money. Man Utd fans are sick of all of this, everyone is sick to the stomach of the Ronaldo saga - this RonaldoMadrid tedious saga will occur again next season, and the season after, and the season after. Accept the £80m and move on, best for the club.
Asha Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Good, get the mardy arse cheating little shit out the premiership This.
StanSP Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 At least it's been accepted early in the summer. Rather than late August.
BlabyFox Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 This is absolutly ridiculous - football has lost the plot and gone to far. 80 fooking million? Why don't these clubs help smaller clubs going bankrupt. In the economic climate this is just wrong. On the bright side it gets rid of that fooking annoying diving cheating scumbag. Shame we never played Man U with him playing so we could all abuse him

Asha Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 It's definately a bad thing that for a little more money you could buy Newcastle United. Definately too much for one player.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Thought youd be happy........ one less immigrant over here! Nah, they'll just use the money to buy more immigrants. ****ing foreign footballers, coming over here taking our jobs.......
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 willy puller. They'll be a force next season but as the story has always been at Madrid they wont win as much as they want to with their stupid club philosphys and addiction to "exciting football" Barcelonas team will still be balanced and will pip still pip Madrid to the league title. Now if they had gone out and spent 140 Million on sorting that good awful defense out they might get somewhere.
Koke Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 If this was the other way round and Man Utd had spent £80m, Platini would be quick to go on a rant about English football destroying the game. Well, what do you gotta say now you little anti-English cunt. You probably having a wank now that the Premiership has lost its biggest star to those fascist bastards - and let's hope they fail miserably and don't win a thing and Barca win the league and Man Utd get further than them in the CL.
hairy Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 He must be worth £80m purely on the global marketing opportunities he presents. Real like a new opportunity to break into new countries etc.

I don't think we'll have to hope - I thought Barca were stunning this year, and that however many 'galacticos' Real buy, they will still be a long way off them next season. As some have said, their stubborn belief that simply splurging millions on the world's best forwards will bring them success has been around for a long while. In that time they've vacillated between being brilliant and actually quite ordinary. But that's Real Madrid for you... But...THANK GOD this looks to be over now, not protracted out painfully like last time. Last summer it was impossible not to open a paper or switch on the radio without hearing about what the petulent shit had apparently said on a portuguese talk show, etc.
purpleronnie Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 True that. It is going to be pretty special. I would imagine the majority of people to follow Real now. It happened before it will happen again. But the premiership is still the best league in the world. Right? Like the Kings of Leon sing Dreming of 'Ribery'
