lildave3 Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Noooooooo For some reason, I still don't think he'll go. I think im just hoping though tbf If he does go, at least he's gone to the biggest club outside England...
Shrenchel Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 It's gunna be hilarious when they miss out again. fook me I hate Real.
MC Prussian Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Once again, one has to ask oneself how Real Madrid, who have been and still are hugely in debt, manage to come up with such a ridiculous amount of spare cash... £80m. Have a laugh. At least the Premiership will no longer have to endure his child-like pitch antics, as genius as Cristiano Ronaldo may be. Good business for ManU - although I wish other clubs could make similar deals. It's not going to help the league in the long run when one club makes that much more money from transfers (I know the money's going to be used to pay for their own debts first, but still).
lavrentis Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 ! Good news. Will be funny to see the ****s walk around with Ronaldo on the back of their shirt now!
Koke Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 It's gunna be hilarious when they miss out again. fook me I hate Real. I absolutely detest them - cannot stand them.
Guest Bilo Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Does this mean the media will call Rooney the Greatest Player in the World™ now? Messi was obviously invisible to them so presumably Ronaldo will be the same.
Bert Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 I already can't wait for this to be over. I can't believe they're going to replace him with Valencia.
Manwell Pablo Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Does this mean the media will call Rooney the Greatest Player in the World™ now?Messi was obviously invisible to them so presumably Ronaldo will be the same. I don't think it's any of those three to be honest all three of them have a tendancy to go missing when it it comes to the crunch games.
Tommy G Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 I don't think it's any of those three to be honest all three of them have a tendancy to go missing when it it comes to the crunch games. Who is it then? I think Iniesta outside of those 3 is the only candidate
Mikey Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Woah 80 million! Should try and get a striker and a winger with it. Ribery for the winger. And then either Villa, Tevez, Aguero, Benzema or Eto'o (didn't Barce say they would sell him). Think he will be a loss to the Prem, but oh well, we'll see how he fares in La Liga. Just makes more room for Rooney to shine at United.
Leicesterboi Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 If I were Real Madrid I would concentrate on buying a world class defender. Even with Kaka and Ronaldo they'll still lose 6-5! I think Man Utd will struggle to replace him, he's a 1 of a kind, but I think Fergie will have a few players lined up!
J.Lisemore Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 80 million for Ronaldo...I would accept that all day long.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 I don't think it's any of those three to be honest all three of them have a tendancy to go missing when it it comes to the crunch games. Surely Messi's performances at the Bernabeu and in the CL Final this season have proven that theory wrong where he's concerned - the only big game he hasn't played well in this season was Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, and he still managed to assist the crucial goal in that.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 If Ronaldo's gone for £80m imagine what Steve Guppy would fetch in todays market, it doesn't bear thinking about....
Finnegan Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 This could be the summer that kills football for me. 80m? 56m?
Tevez Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Quality player and will most certainly be a loss to the English game. But is it for the better? Yes I think so, 80 million is absolutely outstanding and Fergie can draft in some quality which will make United better. Are we now going to see the best of Wayne Rooney now he can play central and its world cup year? Real Madrid will not win anything I don't think this season, sole reason because their defence is shite and their manager changes every 5 minutes. They will be good to watch on Tv but what a coup for Fergie and United .
Fox You Forest Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Imagine my excitement. What time does the the cricket start.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Karim Benzema and Ribery with Waaza next to them. United will be fine.
filbertway Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 £80 million Like everyone else has said...they should be able to get in a couple of quality replacements for less than that.
OriginalRobboFOX Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Alarmingly £80m barely covers the interest on their massive debt....
Number 6 Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 Had my worst exam during my 3 uni years today, was really down, came home to this news, cheered me up no end, bye bye Ronnie!
Uncle Albert Posted 11 June 2009 Posted 11 June 2009 The 5 best players in the world - Messi, Iniesta, Xavi, Kaka, Ronaldo.Poor old Albert. That's your opinion on the 5 best in the world. Only 3 of them make mine. The 5 best players in the world - Ronaldo, Messi, Kaka, Gerrard and Torres. How is it poor old Albert? English teams will still do well in the Champions League so I am hardly fussed about it. Of course Ronaldo was going to go to Real - he would be an idiot if he didnt, they are the greatest team in the World. (The greatest doesnt mean they are the best) Van Der Vart to Chelsea? I would still bet on an English team winning the Champions League next season to be honest.
