Dan Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Ghost???Sighting of MJ the Ghost? Honestly think this is the first time i've ever believed a ghost video, on a serious programme like that as well.
BoneDog Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Surely it's time to remove the question mark from the thread subheading. I missed the service today, I felt it was too much hype to bother with. I won't be crying when Gary Glitter dies, why should I when Michael Jackson dies? Allegedly the event was sponsored by Land Rover. That just about says it all for me. The two aren't in the same category. Glitters a proper perv but I don't think Jacko was, I think he was a good bloke (although defo had some mental worries later on). When Glitter goes I will have a BBQ all day and walk the streets bangin 2 80's dustbin lids together trying to get a parade goin. Jackos got worldwide respect and rightly so I think.

The comparisons between Jackson and Glitter, that some are making on here, are insane. I put this down to the young age and naivety of some of the posters - only hearing about recent events and not knowing the pop icon he was. Hopefully, those that watched the tribute, and listened to the various speeches (not just waiting for the singing), will begin to understand that he didn't have a normal upbringing. From a very early age, he was thrust into the media spotlight, constantly told to rehearse and work in the recording studio. The childhood memories that most of us had growing up, were stuff of dreams to him. He created ‘Neverland’ in order to realise his childhood dreams. He surrounded himself with kids, toys, and animals as he felt he had missed out. He didn’t want to be a grown up. The events during his childhood and public life inevitability took a toll on his mental state. There is no doubt that his actions have sparked controversy. This should have been noticed and dealt with by his family and close advisers. Given his acquittal, I draw the conclusion that he was innocent. Not only in relation to the charges brought against him but also in his thought process. He saw nothing wrong in spending time with kids given he wanted to experience childhood. In his mind, he thought he was a little boy, sharing some quality time with his friends during events such as sleepovers – something that most kids enjoy. He cannot be compared to the ‘man in the street’. His experiences of growing up are at the opposite end of the spectrum. As I’ve posted before, I was privileged to see him at Wembley twice - concerts that will stay with my forever. I will remember him as the greatest showman I have ever seen. Finally, some will always see Elvis as the true king. That is a matter of opinion. His life was also filled with controversy. Just look at his final few years before his untimely death and you will start to draw comparisons to that of Michael Jackson.
Fox92 Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Honestly think this is the first time i've ever believed a ghost video, on a serious programme like that as well. Me to, it looks fairly like Michael Jackson as well - the way he walks with his neck slightly bowed. It is sad that he has died. There will never be another entertainer/dancer as good as him.
Koke Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Everyones entitled to their own opinion , but why post if u didnt like him This is comedy
Monk Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 The comparisons between Jackson and Glitter, that some are making on here, are insane. I put this down to the young age and naivety of some of the posters - only hearing about recent events and not knowing the pop icon he was. Jog on mate, I meant it tongue in cheek! And I'm old enough to know his history. If Jackson had been tried in a Thai court I doubt it would have had the same outcry of public sympathy! Of course, I don't doubt his contribution to music has been huge and I love much of his earlier stuff, I just hate the way it has been blown out of all proportion to the level where Land Rover feel the need to sponsor the event. Also the ghost thing? You have to be joking right? In the video it looks like the light is coming from the left, looks quite like a shadow of someone walking past a window to me!

What the fcuk are you on about? a) Why would a Thai court be any different? Regardless of venue, the charges and defence would have been the same b) There was no Land Rover sponsorship during the event c) Americans will always do it their way. Like it or not, he was one of the most famous people in the world. What do you expect? d) I've not seen any video and don't believe in ghosts My post was not aimed at you - just a summary of some of the crap that's been written on here.

Munzie Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 His post also wasn't aimed entirely at you. My mistake. When it starts with 'jog on mate' and contains 'you must be joking' I guess I assumed incorrectly
Monk Posted 8 July 2009 Posted 8 July 2009 Sorry Munzie, I thought your original comment was aimed at me so I replied. Apologies for any offence. The bit about the ghost was just a general comment as it has been mentioned elsewhere in the thread. The bit about Land Rover was a general comment about the commercialisation of his death The land rover thing can be read here: http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/2009/jul/0...emorial-moments And yes, Americans will deal with it in their own way - as did we with Diana. The whole circusisation (yes, I just invented that word) of the event is just crazy though.
BoneDog Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 I agree about the ghost video. I think it was maybe even set up by the CNN crew who were in those corridors. All they needed was a light positioned correctly (maybe outside the window) and someone walks past. It just happens that they were poking their camera round the corner when it happened. A CNN scoop!
BoneDog Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 CNN, CIA, they're all in it together. Ok, it was a ghost then
BoneDog Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 You lot watch too much tv if you think the CIA and all them are there to protect us lot aren't they a good caring lot, phew, I don't know what we'd do without em 24, Sleeper Cell etc. that's how it really is!
BoneDog Posted 9 July 2009 Posted 9 July 2009 For anyone who wonders here's an excellent video that is full of credible people including survivors from the Sep attacks, ex USAF Captain, and alot of top people. Anyone who took the time to watch this will realise that I don't just spout conspiracy shite Zero

ozleicester Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 Do not watch the below if you are a lover of MJ. This was screened Wednesday night ( the night of his funeral thing) and touched a few nerves...was quite anmusing i thought... Just watched the youtube clip..and... ... they left out a part of it, they had the bit from the funeral where the daughter was speaking...half way through...the chaser said it was a lovely speech..just a pity about Janets wardrobe malfunction (then put in the pic of her nipple thing from the superbowl)..was extremely funny..if..a little close to the bone...but..they cut it from the youtube damned censorship!!
BoneDog Posted 10 July 2009 Posted 10 July 2009 Have you even seen that video then? Are you one of those who still believe that it was the work of those 19 arabs in the photos that they released?! (if so, then u mad ) 8 of them blokes are still alive and reported to US embassys in Jeddah and others in the few weeks following the event. And the rest all worked at various US air force bases or for other US agencies (including Atta). Truth
