Webbo Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 There were no end of people on Radio Leicester demanding a return to Chelsea Dagger.
leicesterseddon Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Fell flat on its arse today, as I hoped. Hopefully this means the gradual phasing-out of goal music. So many people today looked helpless, makes you realise our fans at home are no better than the Watfords & Readings of this world, truly shocking. I know I've said it several times, but you'll never hear goal music at Old Trafford or Anfield...
The Reverend Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 To all those who called in to RL saying Chelsea Daggers better - die.
Joe. Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Instead of the twat dance for Chelsea Dagger we were treated to the moronic happy clap for Fire. You can't polish a turd.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 To all those who called in to RL saying Chelsea Daggers better - die. THIS!!!! i couldn't believe what i heard that one woman that said 'the music was a bit slow and everyone just sat down' why do we need goal music to tell us what to do!!! utter utter ****** and the club is more likely to listen to people like that than us
Ozwin Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 I thought it was hilarious how there was this clap along to Fire. It's a good job 'Du du du du, Matty Fryatt' saved us and ended the really awkward atmosphere.
Matt Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 You can tell we're doing ok on the pitch when you get ****** phoning Radio Leicester looking for things to moan about so they moan about wanting goal music in the first place/wanting Chelsea Dagger back.
Pete_foxes Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 So many people didn't know what to do when we scored Err we've scored a goal and I've not been programmed properly - mummy help! haha, it was like everyone was looking round see what others were doing, and some doing a half harted chelsea dagger dance on a side note it pissed me off on the phone in the amount of people that see the goal music as critical no mention of how the players played or the match, just "bring back cheslea dagger.." WANKERS the lot of em!
Ozwin Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 I think whoever is proper admin for Foxes Talk should put 'WE DONT WANT GOAL CELEBRATION MUSIC' in the banner at the top. You can't miss it then.
Gaffer Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 One good thing about the new goal music, is all the monkeys that danced to chealski dogshit now have the opportunity to look and learn from L1 (and the Kop to an extent) what you're supposed to do when you score. It's too slow for a stupid dance and starts really badly  . So all the Monkeys can sit down and shut up now .
Budweiser Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 fook sake city, fooking get rid of music. The club should listen for once. All the idiots ringing in hoping for chelsea dagger back
samjohnson Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Its a decent song... But not as goal music Get it off!
flanimal Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 I don't get it. I don't want goal music, and we don't need it. It's like choosing between getting punched in the face or kicked in the tits.
Flynny Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Didn't get there today, did people still do the same dance to it? If I don't get to see our middle-aged female fans waggling their bingo wings like they're pissed at a wedding I'll be absolutely gutted.
lildave3 Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 I don't get it. I don't want goal music, and we don't need it.It's like choosing between getting punched in the face or kicked in the tits. You have tits? That explains so many of your posts
Karljohn Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Walking back to me car parked up on weston road, passing hordes of permed fruitcakes (women in their 40s and 50s) I hear comments such as "they need to sort that goal music out, get that chelsea thing back on"....back at the car - radio leicester on...****** ringing up about the goal music left right and centre....."when fire came on we just looked at each other and sat down - it creates an atmosphere does chelsea dagger".... FOOK OFF! Clearly never went to a game at Filbert Street. I behaved like a demented epileptic wasp on tuesday night when fryatt scored.....and I did the same again today when fryatt scored... By the way, there was a football game on today, between a team in blue, and a team in red, the blue team scored a goal and won. NO GOAL MUSIC
Rich Fox Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 The only music I want is Heroes in blue and white just before kick off and they wont bloody play that why not? We dont need any goal music.
Ozwin Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 How many other clubs are moaning about goal music, it's an embarassment.
Joe. Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 How many other clubs are moaning about goal music, it's an embarassment. A few clubs used to have it, but fan complaints stopped it quickly. Shame our club doesn't like to listen.
Webbo Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 A few clubs used to have it, but fan complaints stopped it quickly. Shame our club doesn't like to listen. Who are the club supposed to listen to? The fans who want it or the fans that don't. They pay the same for their tickets as ours.
davieG Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Who are the club supposed to listen to? The fans who want it or the fans that don't.They pay the same for their tickets as ours. Well they could have asked if we wanted it in the first place my betting would be they'd have got a resounding no!
Joe. Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Who are the club supposed to listen to? The fans who want it or the fans that don't.They pay the same for their tickets as ours. There was an influx of e-mails to Peter Jones opposing it at one stage, but nothing happened. I understand a lot fans actually enjoy it for some ridiculous reason; it'd be interesting to put it to a vote inside the stadium. It's not going to happen I know.
Sly Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Right, I love the track, I love Kasabian but I thought as goal music today it just didn't work at all. I've no preference for or against music but all in all I 'd prefer Chelsea Dagger. Underdog was okay for an entrance theme though.
Webbo Posted 22 August 2009 Posted 22 August 2009 Well they could have asked if we wanted it in the first place my betting would be they'd have got a resounding no! Personally I'm indifferent to it. It doesn't bother me either way but I sympathise with the club. As I said earlier there were loads of people wanting C D back on the radio tonight.
