davieG Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Whilst I concede that the song is better than Chelsea Dagger, it's still goal music all the same, and for that reason it doesn't get my vote of approval. Goal music, no matter who the band or what the song, should be eradicated from football.

It still embodies everything I hate about the old song, namely that it channels spontaneous celebration into pre-determined activity. I'm happier but not happy.

Yeah exactly...I think 'Fire' is a good song (and I really like Kasabian), but I wouldn't say it springs to mind as 'celebration music'. Not exactly a tubthumping anthem or anything. Personally I hope the whole thing falls flat on its face and we get rid of goal music for good. And I don't like the guff coming out of the club about 'has replaced x as our goal celebration music'...as if we actually have to have some music at all

Also i don't really like it and I'm sure everyone would like no goal music but it's seriously it's not that bad.
