Phlashman Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 I think they shoulds also play music when the opposition score but something really bad and a bad karaoke version too. It'd be a great put down.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009  Sensible post. You won't be saying that when 'We are the Cheeky Girls' comes blasting out over the sound system. Touch my bum, this is life

Braunyfox Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 It's a good tune granted, but some of the lyrics ????? Spill my guts on a wheel, I wanna taste uh-huh And I’m on fire, and I’m on fire Wire me up to machines I’ll be your prisoner Find it hard to believe, you are my murderer I’m on fire I'm behind you Heads up falling sky Which bit will they play
Phlashman Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 The theme from Steptoe and Son That'd be great. Imagine the away fans faces, it'd shut them up pretty much straight away.

AjcW Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Itll just be the instrumental in the middle mate. 1.15 into the version on youtube, so they will basically just play the chorus.
AyewJoking Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 That'd be great.Imagine the away fans faces, it'd shut them up pretty much straight away. I'm still laughing, god i need a life!

kimsalabim Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Coming out: PHGGoal: If anything, PHG And not the MOTHERFRIGGING TECHNO VERSION. No No No No No No No No Nooooo!!!!! The players need motivating... not putting to sleep when they come out of the tunnel, if they insist on the phg do it before the teams come out, instead of nicking "hey jude" from Real Bromwich Albion, then get the players coming out to something that can get them and the crowd going... AND NO GOAL MUSIC!!! JUST THE GOAL HORN!!!
Babylon Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Which bit will they play Serge has done a special 15 second remix of it... so we won't know until we next score.
leicesterseddon Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 This change of goal music has tabloid headlines written all over it...
AjcW Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 uhhh ohhh, the fratelis are making a comeback, Radio 1 just played chelsea dagger, cant fooking escape it after all
maddog Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 We probably won't be scoring at home anytime soon now we've changed the music.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Just cannot see the need for goal music. What does it achieve? Surely the roar and applause of the home crowd should be adequate. What a strange world we live in today.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Anything is a step up from Chelsea Dagger in my opinion. The joy of seeing City score was quickly coupled with (and sometimes replaced by) embarrassment when that awful music came on. As others have said before, at least Kasabian are a local band with a passion for the club, and it's likely to be fairly unique to us.
Fosse Boy Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 No No No No No No No No Nooooo!!!!!The players need motivating... not putting to sleep when they come out of the tunnel, if they insist on the phg do it before the teams come out, instead of nicking "hey jude" from Real Bromwich Albion, then get the players coming out to something that can get them and the crowd going... AND NO GOAL MUSIC!!! JUST THE GOAL HORN!!! lol WTF are you on? Seriously! The PHG is part of our heritage, we've always come out to it for as long as I've been going and probably a hell of a lot longer too! As for "putting them to sleep"? I've always found it a stirring and rousing call to arms. Give me the PHG over some generic shit like "Jump Around" any day of the week. Do agree with you about "Hey Jude" though, that's been a complete embarrassment since we started using it.

Until everyone else copies like with chelsea dagger. one team started playing it then everyone turned into monkey/sheep hybrids.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Hopefully we will be hearing fire tomorrow My guess is 3:02 - 3:30 I always remember someones post. went something like this. "If you ask a kid what a typical LCFC song was, they would say Chelsea Dagger" I think going back to the bugle would be great

Do agree with you about "Hey Jude" though, that's been a complete embarrassment since we started using it. Introduced in 1941 apparently. You'd struggle to find a fan who could remember a time before the PHG. If we got rid of that we might as well rename ourselves LC Foxes.
