davieG Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Just cannot see the need for goal music. What does it achieve? Surely the roar and applause of the home crowd should be adequate. What a strange world we live in today. Controlled, orchestrated, spied on, overly governed, oppressed (compared to a few years ago), over-taxed, ruled by minorities (and I'm not talking race here), politically inept, non -entity celebrity dominated etc.

Basingstoke Fox Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Chelsea Dagger was on in liquid the other night and some people were actually doing that dance.
Guest Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 I can only echo the sentiments of some others. I don't see why we need goal music when we score, it's not necessary to jump around like a tw@ and shout "YEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!" as loudly as possible. The saddest thing that I heard at the ressies game on Wednesday was a young kid asking his dad where the music was when we scored (they played no goal music). I am sure I will get stick from certain quarters for admitting this, but I found it quite upsetting that children aren't able to celebrate goals the good, old-fashioned way.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Am I the only person that wishes Kasabian weren't from Leicester?

Bryn Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Anyone watch Match of the Day the other night? (What a fucking lemon of a question that is, but anyway...) I was sat watching Burnley run the clock down against Man Utd, about to pull of one of the results of the decade, and the final whistle goes. You got about a millesecond of that wonderful, explosive roar from the fans before it was drowned out by music. Why? Why does a club, about to beat Manchester United, need music to help celebrations? Sickening, and saddening, and sadly the kids of this age will lap it up, in the future when attendances have dwindled, where those that attend matches make no attempt to create an atmosphere, and when our top teams have fooked off to play in other countries.
lavrentis Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Awful news. Hoping for a ban on our goal music. There cant be an improvement if music is still ****ing played.

lavrentis Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Yes there can. A slight improvement. For me it could be the national anthem and still be shit.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 No. Im with you sister. Amen to that. How about 'Please Release Me' by our Enge?

purpleronnie Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Am I the only person that wishes Kasabian weren't from Leicester? Not really a fan either.
misterbee Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 I wasn't obliged to like Mark Morrison and I'm not obliged to like these scamps, thank you you seriously comparing Mark Morrison to Kasabian? Kasabian have talent, and are decent people.
Fosse Boy Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 you seriously comparing Mark Morrison to Kasabian? Kasabian have talent, and are decent people. This really ought to be in Music Discussion.
Basingstoke Fox Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Why would not liking a band make you wish they had nothing to do with your hometown? They have still achieved alot so far and I think it is good that they are connected to the city. Surely people would rather Gok Wan had nothing to do with Leicester?
