smudger63 Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Not that fussed if we don't sign him.He didn't exactly set the league alight at Forest or Norwich. Clingan would have been, or would be a good signing, in my opinion. F***st and norwich fans, on the whole, seem to rate him, and in the few games that i have seen him, he has always impressed me. Still, we have Andy King, the championships gerrard, so im led to believe, so all will be well!
s2000 Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 r only decent signing is wellens chris weale robbie neilson jack hobbs wayne brown was good signings along with wellens but i think dany n'guessan will be good but he might prove me wrong
StanSP Posted 20 July 2009 Posted 20 July 2009 Chris Weale, Robbie Neilson, Jack Hobbs and Wayne Brown are good signings along with Wellens but I think Dany N'Guessan will be good. But he might prove me wrong. Corrected. And might prove you wrong? So he'll prove you wrong by playing crap?

RedHux Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 Sideways sammy is a decent enough player if nothing special. Can pass and as the norwich chap said can sit in front of the defence and keep possesion. Would e a decen signing if you need a holding midfield type. He adds little going forward other then the odd decent ball, but more often then not will take the safe sideways option. He's defintely good enough it's just a case of if you need that type of player or not.

I felt we would have been found out last season if we played better opposition every week, I.E this season.
maddog Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 Wheres knowitall with the latest news. He's been in hiding ever since the Cox incident, but he was right with N'Guessan even though we all knew we were getting him anyway so surprised he hasn't been back. Must have got a new job away from the club.
smudger63 Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 Calm it. I was being sarcastic, in response to a previous poster, who called king, the championships gerrard.

The Norwich midfielder has been one of Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman's top summer targets and he finally looks like landing the Northern Ireland international this week. A deal with the recently-relegated Canaries has been agreed in principle for the 25-year-old to make a £650,000 move to the Ricoh Arena before the start of the season and he will snub late interest from Leicester to join the club.

He obviously needs to be sectioned then... However, if this is true, it just shows how far down the pecking order you can go with one season in League One
Tilley Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Cov over us, good one. True what someone says, one season in League One fucks your appeal to attract players.

Tilley Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Well forest managed to attract Rob Earnshaw last season didn't they ? He's a 'big' name. A 'big name' that had scored one goal the season before, I don't think he could afford to be picky.
Brainy Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Perhaps he moved to Cov for non-footballing reasons too?
leicesterseddon Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Perhaps he moved to Cov for non-footballing reasons too? Exactly. He's probably gone for the stunning architecture, cultural heritage and legendary nightlife.
