Sly Posted 2 December 2009 Posted 2 December 2009 Haven't played this for a while, but now I have an epic side at Leicester it's starting to become a little easy. I've even been given the Brazil job (took over in the Copa America semi-finals and won it). Should I start a new game (if so, who with?) or dominate the world? I am in the same boat with Leicester now. I'm mid way through season five and I'd hazzard I'll do an unbeaten season. I even thumped Barca 5-0 in my Champions League group game. What season are you in?
lildave3 Posted 2 December 2009 Posted 2 December 2009 This game would be brilliant if I could actually keep a lead. All game dominate the opposition, then in the last 20 minutes they suddenly become Brazil.
Mikey Posted 2 December 2009 Posted 2 December 2009 Finished 17th (in the Championship) in my 2nd season with Leicester. Improved on my 18th spot last year. Got a 1.3m transfer budget, for finishing top half.

lildave3 Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Id have thought you'd get fired for finishing that low I said the same to him, I finished 14th in my first season, then got sacked 8 games into my 2nd <_< In other news, i've just found an anicent photo of one of my birthday parties, and you're there in a Man United top

Still feel guilty for owning that top to this day
AjcW Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 First League game as Xerez v Zaragoza. 0-3 Down at Half time. Made two subs. Defender David Prieto one of the subs bagged 2. Striker Bermajo netted 1. And the striker I had on at the start netted one aswell. Full time Xerez 4-3 Zaragoza. I nearly lost the laptop I celebrated so much .
Ozwin Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Keep doing well and telling us about it plz. *Drools*
DB11 Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Keep doing well and telling us about it plz. *Drools* Annoys me as well I just scroll down :w00t:
lildave3 Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Just had a ridiculous game. Palace away, I had 26 shots, 57% possession. They had 6 shots. Naturally they won. Save after savew, scramble after scramble, would not go in
samlcfc Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Fans on this are well fickle on this, you go on an unbeaten run and the fan confidence slowly works its way up and then when you lose a game it falls all the way back down

samlcfc Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Just played the last game of the season with Leicester. Poor form left me in 3rd needing a win and newcastle to lose for automatic promotion. Beat middlesborough 1-0 thanks to Viduka and Weale being a penalty saving hero . Newcastle lost 3-1 to QPR and I got promoted. Happy days
samlcfc Posted 3 December 2009 Posted 3 December 2009 Never got a team promoted to the prem on this before, huge transfer fund
Ozwin Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 Wtf, I was on 'insecure' then went on a 4 match unbeaten run, qualifying from my group in the Europa League in the process and now it's at 'very insecure' This board's got a personal vendetta against me.
TrickyTrev Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 Decided to start as Leicester. 3rd after 32 games, playing a Dunga like 4222 formation. I'm a bit worried I am going to fall apart during the run in, my squad is massively over achieving. The Championship season is too long!

Just got to try and make sure you try and win games whilst your squad is up for it. I started to do awful around the last ten games of the season. Went from being 3 points ahead at the top to 3rd with the last game to play. Lucky to go up automatically.
dandannieldanok Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 Started with Walsall. Made a pretty decent start, managed to pick up a heap of free transfers including Izzy Iriekpen and Mark Fotheringham....................and of course the main man, Michael Mifsud (who I nearly forgot about). 10 goals in 7 already for Mifsud. The man is a genius in league one. Also beat Leeds 3-0, fully deserved win, they barely had a sniff
Mikey Posted 4 December 2009 Posted 4 December 2009 In 3rd season with Leicester. Started very badly, with no wins in 7 games, but then realised I could change the tactics so its like FM 08, and now have started doing better. I'm 11th after 13 games. Team: GK: Stuart Taylor RB: Carlos Diogo CB: Digao CB: Callum Davernport LB: Jloyd Samuel RM: Simon Davies/Matteo Alberti/Nestor Suaseta CM: Abel Aguilar LM: Max Gradel AM: Ruben Olivera ST: Omar Koroma ST: John Carew/Adriano

Got Jay Bothroyd as my Target man, he's banging em in. And Fryatt as my poacher. An excellent partnership, 1st in the champo

An excellent partnership, 1st in the champo Grant Holt (Target man) and Goran Maric (Advanced forward) with James Beattie on the bench to replace Holt. A few others aswell. Maric is usually quality aswell <_<
lildave3 Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Just got a thing in my news telling me that Charlton had closed a stand due to health and safety !!! As an aside, i've won 5 in a row, conceding 2, and am up into 2nd with 13 games to go.

I'm a bit worried I am going to fall apart during the run in, my squad is massively over achieving. The Championship season is too long! Somehow managed to go up automatically on goal difference with just 78 points. Very exciting season and I'm looking forward to trying to build a decent Premier League team. I'm going to pretty much ignore Milan's warchest and try and sign some young, cheapish talent to move the club forward. If I can get 4 or 5 players for 10 million pounds that can be with the club whilst we develop into a top class side then I'll be delighted, gotta try and stay up at the same time though! I have brought in Matt Derbyshire and Joe Hart for a little less than 6 million combined and snapped up Celso Borges for 600k. I also swallowed my pride and signed Ryan Bertrend on a free transfer, you just can't turn down a free 20 year old English full back already ready to play Premier League football. I'm now searching for an affordable number 10 and a right wing back. I'm hoping that because 3 of the 5 or 6 players I am looking to bring in are English there may be less bedding in problems.

Won 2 more to take my run to 7, before a draw at Leyton Orient allowed me to retire to bed. Sitting 2nd, 3 points clear of 3rd.
