Matt Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Who's Going? I've been saying i'm not, I don't tend to enjoy friendlies, can't get into them however much I try, Although I understand they are needed just as fan the bore me abit, but now its coming nearer i'm tempted to go, also on the eve of it being a week to the new season, i'm getting quite excited, and need a football fix.
Corky Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Yep, looking forward to it. Like friendlies, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and the chance to not worry about the result too much. Also get to see the new players for the first time.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 I'm going. Will be interesting to see whether Fryatt will be there or not. Also whether Tunchev plays or even starts as it must be a similar team to what NP is playing vs Swansea. Hoping for a good crrowd but only one stand open so they can't be expecting much. Looking forward to seeing N'Guessan playing for the first time and seeing the other new face too. Heard that Valladoloid are playing Ipswich tonight so they will be playing twice in two days.
lou Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Yep gonna hobble down there! Not been outside since Saturday so will deffo be there!
DB11 Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Nah this pre-season has gone well quick. Not been bored at all
flanimal Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Is Kermo going to be signed and ready to go for this match? That's aimed at you, Bert. I know you know something.
Edmund Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 http://www.itfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,1...1740027,00.html They played and lost 3-1 to Ippy Town tonight.
Matt Posted 31 July 2009 Author Posted 31 July 2009 Nah this pre-season has gone well quick. Not been bored at all No it hasn't been bad at all, I normally struggle from the moment the final whistle of the final game is blown, but I think it hit me last week that I started to get excited and can't wait.
s2000 Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 I was going to go but im not now...hope fryatt can play
Cobbo Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 First friendly of the season for a Sunday morning football team has been arranged for the afternoon. So I shall be missing this one
flanimal Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 They played and lost 3-1 to Ippy Town tonight. Whoa, Real must be shit!
skinnydipper Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 I'm going , as much to see the new signings as anything Last saw Real Valladolid about 15 years ago playing at Friar Lane Old Boys Higuita in goal and Valderamma played the first half and chomped his way through burgers from the burger van during the second half
Matt Posted 31 July 2009 Author Posted 31 July 2009 Whoa, Real must be shit! There saving themselves to give us a proper game
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 There saving themselves to give us a proper game Well if we can't stick a few goals past the when they have just played 2 days before it will show that we are in desperate need for strikers. This might be a really good test for us.
Flynny Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 I'm in like Flynn. But I'm not going! (probably not anyway)
fatboy Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Shall be there. Who will be there? You or Mr Kermo, or both?!
leicesterseddon Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Might go, but only for the bouncy castle beforehand...
Lillehamring Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 http://www.itfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,1...1740027,00.htmlThey played and lost 3-1 to Ippy Town tonight. great, which means if we don't equal that the boy boys will be all over the forum
AjcW Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Would anyone judge me if I paid the extra three quid too have a comfy seat for a meaningless friendly just as a one off.....
Craig Posted 31 July 2009 Posted 31 July 2009 Would anyone judge me if I paid the extra three quid too have a comfy seat for a meaningless friendly just as a one off..... I've been considering this. Just to see what it's like more than anything else.
carterfox90 Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 i will be there just to see the new lads play hopefully we can finish pre-season on a high with a few goals bit worried though we have not got our promised striker in yet!
Daggers Posted 1 August 2009 Posted 1 August 2009 Biggest ever game in our history, a truly massive occasion to celebrate the 125th anniversary - I don't understand how any proper fan can not be present. Even in France, I shall be attending in spirit.
