davieG Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 As are we and our good friends and shits next door who will poop all over your hoofers (again). The Ingermongs will then lose their match with Ukraine (and their brass monkeys) in Kiev's ice bowl in October. It will then be left to Belarus to shut you out at Wembley to allow the unmentionables and the Ukraine through. Stranger things have happened... Radovan - Where's your Caravan, where's you caravan?
purpleronnie Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 I don't understand it either. He has to improve defensively, but going forward he's an asset. Well I couldnt watch it tonight but the commentators said he was turned inside out for their goal and the reports after the slovenia match weren't good and I did see the friendly against holland and he probably had his worst ever game as a pro...apart from that he's been fab.
Finnegan Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 We were fooking heroes tonight, could have been 2 - 1 up if not for Edward's finishing alone inside the box, haha. Desperately didn't deserve to concede the third. In all fairness to John Toshack, while I think his starting formation was lacking in ambition we played with real fire in our bellies, passed the ball around magnificently and ATTACKED! Great to watch at times, had ample chances. Clear gulf in quality and organization and killer instinct in the end but for the first time in absolutely months and months I'm genuinely proud of a Welsh performance. And, Christ, what the hell is Capello feeding England? Duw duw! Fair play to your lot.
purpleronnie Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Joe Cole, Rio and Hargreaves all to come back too. Incredibly excited about the world cup now after that. I hate jumping to conclusions but Capello is a bloody genius for turning around Mclarens shambolic mess. Definately made a difference there seems to be respect for the manager and what I've read he isnt particularly liked but he is very much respected by the players, McClown alwayys looked like he wanted to be best mates with the players, that never works. I want england to win the WC as much as anyone but we really havent played anyway yet, if we perform like that against the likes of spain or brazil then I would be believing we can win the WC. Get excited we are in the WC, but pllleeeaasseee keep your feet on the ground we all know what happens when we go OTT.
Master Fox Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 is that a Master Fox stamp of approval? sure is
TrickyTrev Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Bloke on the radio said they turned johnson inside out, I just dont rate him, he maybe good going forward but hes a defender, imaging top forwards against him, hopefully neville will be fit, although I'd take just about anyone than him. I thought Johnson was our second most dangerous attacking player tonight. We might finally have a right back capable of contributing to a dangerous attacking unit and people want Gary fooking Neville back. Great performance by the lads tonight. If we cloned Emile Heskey and Jermaine Defoe together we'd have an English Fernando Torres, now that would make our side complete.
TrickyTrev Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Dear FIFA,When (if) the U.S. qualify for the World Cup, please make sure whoever draws the lottery balls draws our in the group as far away as possible from England's group. Love, Jordan I want a group of The US, Russia, England and North Korea. A lovely political melting pot combined with probable qualification. Delicious.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Get excited we are in the WC, but pllleeeaasseee keep your feet on the ground we all know what happens when we go OTT. I want to go O.T.T
RowlattsFox Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 I want to go O.T.T Me too. It's what being a football fan is all about, like at the start of the football season when everyone thinks they can win something. I'm going to believe we can win it, even if it does lead to spectacular failure.
dogadug Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Argentina V Paraguay anyone... On in 15 minutes [/quote Now we can relax because England have qualified, so lets hope Paraguay beat Argentina, coz that'll virtually knock Argentina out, and improve England's chances Also, Italy, France, Germany and Portugal are struggling to qualify automatically, so England could be in with a chance at the world cup, if they keep performing like they are now.
Fox You Forest Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 They're looking very ropey at the back again, Paraguay hit the post already.
AjcW Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Just hearing the names maradona has left out let you know just how clueless he is!
Fox You Forest Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 1-0 Paraguay, well deserved, hit the woodwork twice also.
Tommeh Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 To people wanting Argentina out...... A tournament without Messi, Aguero, Maxi, Tevez et. all? Come off it....yes we all want England to do well but I want the tournament to be full of the best teams and a truely great event. Pretty sure the Argies will ge their act together.
Uncle Albert Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Gerrard, Rooney and Lampard to score. I got that right. Now that performance was brilliant, we really have qualified in style, I think we have sent a real good message out to World football tonight. We have just smashed the 9th best team in World football tonight 5-1. Match report to come in the morning but a quick word to Radovan.. Haha.

I dont want to see a tournament without argentina... but I dont want to see this lineup at the world cup... Maradona selecting kids and debutants. Theres no maxi, theres no tevez... some of their biggest and brightest stars arent even in the squad. Argies at the world cup with a different manager please
Uncle Albert Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Come off it Tom, do you really think the Spanish, French and Germans said the same about us when we didn't qualify for Euro 2008? Don't think so. This is Argentina for christ sake, people don't forget what Maradona done to us and Diego Simeone. I hope they dont qualify. A funny thought the best two players in the world might both not be in South Africa in Ronaldo and Messi.
Fox You Forest Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 I'm not really bothered if they qualify or not, but if they don't they won't have been good enough and that's it. Obviously most of the blame would lie at the managers feet or those who appointed him because he doesn't seem to know what he's doing.
Finnegan Posted 10 September 2009 Posted 10 September 2009 Lofty, were you even born when Maradona "did what he did to us?"
