lildave3 Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Absolutely quality performance from everyone. Ok, the group wasn't the trickiest but the way we've managed our way through it has been fantastic. Hope we win our last 2 now so we really go to South Africa in style.
Joe. Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Wow, never expected a performance like that. Absolutely delighted with everything, bring on next summer. Nothing like an England at the World Cup atmosphere around the place, even if we are going to go out on penalties in the quarter finals again. Bring on the hype.
Webbo Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Fucking yes we're winning the World Cup, I don't give a shit if this is an over reaction, we're winnign the World Cup. I hear that brother. There'll be some miserable cvnt on here soon saying we've got no chance and it was only Croatia but until we're knocked out I'm going to believe we can win it.
Corky Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 We've qualified in real style. In previous campaigns, we've almost laboured to the finals, now we've scored plenty of goals, confidence flowing through and a settled side. Top stuff Capello and the team.
MikeyT Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well done lads, bring on the World Cup!!!
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 I think matches being on ITV have helped too. Yeah these performances have been for Clive.
morris1234 Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 sorry but you cant look past rooney for motm. anybody else agree the man is finally showing his potential! i used to play in defence and he scares the life out of me just watching him at the minute! well done lamps aswell, ashley cole again proving he is the best left back in the world in my opinion anyway and gareth barry has fit in perfectly now! shame heskey didnt score aswell, worked really hard though! good game boys!
Corky Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 sorry but you cant look past rooney for motm. Lennon for me.
Joe. Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Gerrard for me. Two goals and a decent hand in the third. Looked quality.
Salieri Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 If England dont win by at least 4 goals I'll lose all hope. There IS hope!!!!! :w00t: Outstanding performance and yes it is early days, but, we look like a fukcing good side, no doubt about it. The F.A are reknowned for being a bunch of cvnts, but appointing Don Capello was indeed a masterstroke.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Why the Glen Johnson criticism? He's been superb for England recently.
Corky Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Why the Glen Johnson criticism? He's been superb for England recently. I don't understand it either. He has to improve defensively, but going forward he's an asset.
Head Honcho Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Injury time goal for Saudi Arabia looks like making ma a few quid had them in a treble with Norway and Italy at 5/2
lildave3 Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Gerrard for me. Two goals and a decent hand in the third. Looked quality. Can't play on the wing though, eh Joe? Lennon motm for me, started things off by winning a pen, then put in a great cross for the 2nd. Terrorised defenders all night. Aside from him, Johnson.
Joe. Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Don't think Johnson can be criticised too much for not stopping that cross. What about his goal-saving header away from Eduardo? I thought he was actually quite good defensively tonight, shouldn't be too much criticism flying around on his part.
Head Honcho Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Injury time goal for Saudi Arabia looks like making ma a few quid had them in a treble with Norway and Italy at 5/2 Shite Bahrain just equalised
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Great result and I hope we win the remainig games. I would especially like to see Capello look at other people like Defoe, Milner, etc during the game as it is a nothing game now, but I would still wan to win it. And of course I feel sorry for Scotland...
Joe. Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Can't play on the wing though, eh Joe? I've never said he can't play on the wing! I said he was wasted out there. Which generally speaking is true, but he found so much space in the middle of the box tonight it was embarassing. Delighted with Lennon as well, he had an end product, which is normally a big flaw of his game. Him and Johnson linked up beautifully together on the right.
lavrentis Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Did anyone hear the commentator say "Fiesty one you are"
AjcW Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Did anyone hear the commentator say "Fiesty one you are" yes i commented on it above. Brilliant
Mikey Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Great performance. Everyone was quality tbf. Rooney, Lennon, Johnson, Lampard and Gerrard were the stand outs.
Jordan Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Dear FIFA, When (if) the U.S. qualify for the World Cup, please make sure whoever draws the lottery balls draws our in the group as far away as possible from England's group. Love, Jordan
morris1234 Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Clive Tildsley just said "Feisty one you are" haha. haha its yoda! hmmmmmmmm fiesty one you are!
Tommeh Posted 9 September 2009 Posted 9 September 2009 Joe Cole, Rio and Hargreaves all to come back too. Incredibly excited about the world cup now after that. I hate jumping to conclusions but Capello is a bloody genius for turning around Mclarens shambolic mess.
