Legolas Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Hi, thought I'd sign up and share my views on Max Gradel, views which are echoed by the vast majority of Leeds fans. The lad is possibly one the the most excting players we've seen at ER in the past few years. Coming off the bench he has been electric and there is a visible buzz around the ground when he gets the ball. He has speed, flair, determination and as we have seen recently, an eye for goal too. I couldn't believe it when I heard he doesn't get a look in at Leicester. The lad has been a little piece of magic since his arrival. Don't want to see him leave but thats looking unlikely. From what I've seen of him however I would love Bates to put in a bid in January. How does £1million sound?

davieG Posted 9 December 2009 Posted 9 December 2009 Judging from the way they're offering cheapo match tickets to bump up the income I'd not be surprised if Manderic snapped off Bates hand for £1mill. I also can't see us getting anything other than loans in January as I doubt we're making anything approaching a profit.

Which only goes to show he's entirely expendable in the clubs eyes, and that was in the summer I suspect we've gone further into the red since then having not unloaded DJ and having to continue to carry Clemence and now Tunchev for no return. £1mill / £2mill in football parlance not that much and easily negotiated on especially if it's cash up front.

And he clearly hasn't spend any on Leeds United so far....bar buying the odd contract out, he hasn't signed a single player for a transfer fee since relegation to the third tier.

Every penny has gone to reducing the debt on the club. Been playing out of position for the majority but has improved over the past couple of weeks. He had a horror show against Andros townsend however (vs Orient, on loan from spurs) who incidently I'm expecting good things from in the future.

He's good enough to play (off the bench) for the mighty Leeds Utd but isnt good enough for little Leicester. They cant beleive it.. WE ARE IN A HIGHER DIVISION THAN YOU AND ARE DOING PRETTY WELL WITHOUT HIM (not including last couple of games granted!!) League 1 is his level, he's not getting a look in cos hes not good/consistent enough for Championship football Some Leeds fans I know also say the same things about Kisnorbo!
