Thracian Posted 5 November 2009 Posted 5 November 2009 If he wants to stay then we can't really stop him, well we can but it would be pointless keeping an unhappy player. I want him to stay but I wouldn't be that disappointed to see him leave, he flattered to deceive big time last season after all the build up he was given. As someone has already said, 4th in the Championship without him, says it all really. He "flattered to deceive" but you "want him to stay". What sort of double Dutch is that? With that sort of half-hearted support - and you're not the only one - it's little wonder he'd rather move on. As for fourth in the Championship, it's very encouraging but guarantees us nothing as yet. We were top last year which was the best we could be in the circumstances so what your point is on that score I've no idea?
maddog Posted 5 November 2009 Posted 5 November 2009 If we pick up a couple of injuries to N'Guessan and Adams then the only back up winger behind Dyer, Oakley Ga............ He's fooked he's never going to play
enex Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 He played well for leeds tonight, watched it on sky got the first goal (well it was an own goal came off from his cross) and make a few good chances for them
Ozwin Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 I don't think Pearson wants to get rid tbh. He's probably in two minds and hopefully this loan spell shows him what he's capable of. We're definately in need of someone like Gradel who can bring some magic off the bench and excite the fans.
Corky Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 He played well for leeds tonight, watched it on sky got the first goal (well it was an own goal came off from his cross) and make a few good chances for them I watched the first 30 minutes and didn't think he was that influential. Obviously don't know how he played for the rest of the match, but it'll be interesting to see what happens now, that being the last match of this loan spell.

We were top last year which was the best we could be in the circumstances so what your point is on that score I've no idea? Because I think although he's flattered to deceive there is potential there for him to be a good player for us the in future. Cristiano Ronaldo flattered to deceive in his first season at Man United but they didn't let him go because they knew he had potential. And I don't think mine or anybody else's half-hearted support has filtered through to the training ground, unless Max spends his spare time on foxestalk. My point is quite clear and isn't going to change, we're doing fine without him. It's quite simple to grasp.
Joe. Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 With Oakley injured at the moment he might get his chance in here soon possibly. Deserves it anyway by the looks of things, but unfortunately I can't see it myself.
lildave3 Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 I thought he was having a poor game tbh, then he went and set up the first goal.
Fox You Forest Posted 10 November 2009 Posted 10 November 2009 I thought he was having a poor game tbh, then he went and set up the first goal. I switched over to have a look just after they'd scored and the commentators were saying he'd wasted a few good chances to whip balls in before he finally put a decent one in, sounds familiar.

I'd rather that then a supposed right winger who spends no time out on the flank and is more often found opn the left wing leaving only a very limited Neilson on the right
Simon Grayson Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 Evening all, Leeds fan here in peace. Just wanted to comment on Max Gradel after tonight's game. He was excellent tonight coming off the bench, changed the game completely as he did against Norwich at home a few weeks ago. No complaints so far, we're all delighted he's staying until January (unless Mr Pearson recalls him) and the chants for us to sign him up get louder every week! His goal was excellent- he nearly lost the ball but did a few tricks, made some space for himself in the box and buried it with his left foot. It's being shown on Sky Sports News so look out for it if you've not seen it. Apart from that, his effort, commitment, desire and quality are all fantastic and hopefully he'll be in our starting XI soon although this will be difficult as the team is doing well with him coming off the bench to give us a late spark. I can't comment on what he's shown for you guys but he looks to be a right player and definitely one for the future. Hopefully it's with Leeds United but it's out of our control.
Joe. Posted 25 November 2009 Posted 25 November 2009 He's quite clearly most effective as an impact player off of the bench, so it'll be interesting to see how Grayson uses him in the coming weeks. Pleased for him though, glad he's doing well up there.

Then he will score the winner against him.
norfolkfox222 Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Recall him, we've had limited width all season hes obviously doing the business with Leeds, discuss...
Dames Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 GRADEL AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. HE'LL SAVE EVERYONE OF US GRADEL AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HE'S A MIRACLE
Fox92 Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Recall him, we've had limited width all season hes obviously doing the business with Leeds, discuss... League 1 though.
dandannieldanok Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Pointless bringing back a winger when we don't use the 3 we've already got.
norfolkfox222 Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 GRADEL AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.HE'LL SAVE EVERYONE OF US GRADEL AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HE'S A MIRACLE OK piss take whats your idea
dave_the_fox Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 I like the capitals! Weren't he our saviour we never bought back when we went down?
Babylon Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 OK piss take whats your idea Using the players that had us in third before we kicked off today? If Gradel could turn a 5-1 loss into a win... he wouldn't be on the bench for a league one team. There are enough "lets jizz over max threads" already.

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Took the words out of my mouth. Its about time people stopped going on like he's the next Cristiano Ronaldo. Surely he deserves a chance though. What more can he do than 3 goals and 4 assists in 10 games?
Babylon Posted 5 December 2009 Posted 5 December 2009 Surely he deserves a chance though. What more can he do than 3 goals and 4 assists in 10 games? I don't think people would argue with that, but once again people take things to the extreme and act like it's the answer to all are woes and we'd be twice the team with him playing.
