marbelladave Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 Hmmmmm.......... A nice bit of French! 4-3-3 and a front line of Danni, Yanni and Max.......
Babylon Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 Hmmmmm.......... A nice bit of French!4-3-3 and a front line of Danni, Yanni and Max....... Max and Danny.... they live together in a camper van and are bouncers at the weekend.
Ric Flair Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 Max and Danny.... they live together in a camper van and are bouncers at the weekend. Bring back Brian 'Levi' Potter too.
marbelladave Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 Max and Danny.... they live together in a camper van and are bouncers at the weekend. Most excellent..... They can sort out a few championship defenders then! Maxi and Danni beat them up, Yanni pops it in the net.
Corky Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 Well I'm pleased it looks like he's staying. Hopefully the loan spell did him the power of good and he can make an impact for us.
consty Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 Well I'm pleased it looks like he's staying.Hopefully the loan spell did him the power of good and he can make an impact for us. You know, some people think he's a better right winger than Matt Oakley... Shocking level of footballing knowledge on here. I'd put Max in goal, NP needs more people to play out of positon. Paul Gallagher for caretaker manager for a month next.
lcfc_jme Posted 15 January 2010 Posted 15 January 2010 Gradel is obviously a very positive player and enjoys being on the pitch. He may have a lot of skill and like to beat people, but I swear to God I can cross the ball better than he can. Which is just ridiculous considering he's had all the proper coaching and is a professional footballer.

That said, Oakley can't even take a decent corner or a decent free kick so he is in good company!

Gallagher is ahead of Oakley but he isn't that poor.

This depends on who and what you base your opinion on. We haven't had anyone who can take a decent corner for years. Compared to Guppy, the greatest dead ball specialist I have ever seen at the club, the current players are terrible. So, he has a point.

One in every ten corners is decent and normally we score when they are.
Vlad The Impaler Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 If we had a decent set piece taker, we would be one or two places higher in the league right now. God I feel sorry for Howard, no service from the wings and we can't even beat the first man on a corner half the time! If we're going to play him we need to use him to our advantage more than what we are doing. I'd love to see Gradel and Dyer/N'Guessan on the wings. Trouble is, I can't see Nige selecting him in the starting 11, he will probabaly just take Adams place on the bench, which would be a shame.

Legend_in_blue Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Gary Parker? Indeed. Although as an all-rounder when it comes to crosses and corners, whether it be a dead ball or not, no-one was as good as Guppy.

Thracian Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Presuming NP sticks with the same team as of late, our bench is gonna look pretty tasty!!! 30 minutes to go and we bring on Big Danny and Max... i'll have some of that. Is Gradel back yet from Leeds, or, more important, has Pearson even noticed him?
davieG Posted 16 January 2010 Posted 16 January 2010 Is Gradel back yet from Leeds, or, more important, has Pearson even noticed him? He's due back on Monday he's on the Leeds bench today who incidentally are losing to Exeter 1-0.
martinkop1 Posted 17 January 2010 Posted 17 January 2010 gradel has got a bit big headed now leeds want him for good, he needs to be brought back down to earth a little bit, players go on loan to have valuable 1st team practice, i wouln't want him sold, thats not what on loan is all about.

Well it's a fine line between being bigheaded and extremely confident, certainly confidence is clearly lacking from a lot of the current players, sure they're confident enough to go out and play but they have no killer instinct that comes with extremely confident or justifiably cocky individuals. Whether Gradel would make a significant difference to our team I don't know but some justifiable big headedness wouldn't go amiss.
