Fox You Forest Posted 10 October 2009 Posted 10 October 2009 Ridiculous, can't see a thing. I think Peru deserve that, bossed this second half. Lucky beggars.
Darkzzz_ Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 Pleased. Argentina didn't turn up second half. Peru deserved better. What a finale. They will get raped at the World Cup though under Maradona, he needs to go. Edit: Awful conditions too, I also think Maradona may be dead tomorrow after his 'Klinsman' dive across the pitch, especially with that heart.
Fox You Forest Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 Couldn't see anything at one point, the camera was shaking all over the shop and blurred from the rain.
Darkzzz_ Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 Couldn't see anything at one point, the camera was shaking all over the shop and blurred from the rain. It was terrible. Almost got my raincoat out.
Koke Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 Didn't get to watch much of the European games today However, I will more than make up for that by watching the action on my side of the Atlantic this evening. Mexico-El Salvador is on TV en español in 15 minutes (6 pm here). Mexico winning 3-1 thus far. Good old Blanco getting the second goal. I didn't know that old fella was still playing. And Carlos Vela getting on the score sheet as well. I know this Mexican lass that I'll be seeing tomorrow and she'll be well pleased. 'kinell. 4-1 now. Two goals in 5 minutes.

There were some golazos in that game. Mexico's ticket to South Africa is booked. Here's hoping the U.S. join them in a few hours. [edit: forgot to mention that there were about 9 minutes of stoppage time in the first half because of a crazy bee and bug swarm in the El Salvadoran goal ) I didn't get to catch any South American games, but huge drama... Argentina give up an equalizer in the 90th minute before Palermo rescued the albiceleste in stoppage time. Also, in Quito, Forlan scored a penalty in stoppage time for a huge Uruguay win at Ecuador (don't know anything about the call). Chile is back in the finals after crushing Colombia's hopes of qualifying. The pick of Wednesday's games is undoubtedly Uruguay-Argentina. I'm really starting to get nervous and anxious waiting for Honduras-USA to kick off. I really hope I can watch this ... NY-area soccer reporter extraordinaire Ives Galacep says Estadio Olimpico Metropolitano filled up three hours before kickoff. Crazy.
Darkzzz_ Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 I really like Mexico. Thank god they got rid of Sven. Argentina will lose Wednesday, their away form is even worse than their home form. Forlan will smash that awful Argentinian defence to pieces. So if Argentina lose (which looks likely) and Ecuador beat Chile (Who have now qualified) then it's over for Argentina.
MC Prussian Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 And here's me thinking Uruguay had only drawn with Ecuador. Hahahaha. Let's see how the Urus kick the mighty Argentina out of the Qualifyers. It'd serve them only right. Uruguay for South Africa 2010!!!
lildave3 Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 That Argentina finale was pretty huge. One second i'm laughing my head off that Peru have scored in the last minute, the next Martin Palermo is tapping one in for the win.
AjcW Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 Annoyed I missed the Argies game. Hope they get smashed by Forlan on Wednesday.
Fox You Forest Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 That Argentina finale was pretty huge. One second i'm laughing my head off that Peru have scored in the last minute, the next Martin Palermo is tapping one in for the win. Then nearly grabbed an equalizer from the half way line.
TrickyTrev Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 The Argentina game was pure comedy. It appears Diego Maradonna wants to convert Argentina into Bolton Wanderers without the defence. In the 2nd half they just continually lamped it in the general direction of Martin Palermo, who was about as mobile as Steve Howard after a concussion, completely bypassing Messi and Aimar. Can that really be a most effective way of controlling a game? Argentina have used 77 players in the 10 games Deigo has been in charge, none of them are Juan Roman Riquelme. If he's not one of the 77 best Argentinian players then I just don't know what to believe anymore? If I can't believe in that certain a truth how can I believe anything? Is the world really round? Does 2+2=4? Who is that 38 year centre back making his 3rd appearance, all of which have been under Marradonna. Has he been watching Mike Basset and thinking that Benson and Hedges should have been given a chance against the Belgians? It's not that I think Walter Samuel is particuarly great, but picking this guy ahead of him is mental. Should a team ever play 6 different formations in 45 minutes of football? Despite all this you do have to love the man. A Klinnsman onto a hail soaked pitch after a lucky 92nd minute escape through the senile donkey he's put upfront. You couldn't make this shit up. I hope they qualify, so we can see Diego's madness on full display during the World Cup.
Father Ted Posted 11 October 2009 Posted 11 October 2009 Forget Bosnia. It's all to do with Serbia - hammered the Romanians 5-0, EASY!! We're going to win the World Cup. Young team with Vidic dominating the defence, Stankovic leading the midfield and Zigic leading the front line. I'm excited!!
