Am I really slow and thick for thinking some of this is computerized? Mind boggling.

Some of it almost seems too crazy to have been caught on camera but then you see the lengths they go to when filming and I believe everything we're seeing is real.

It's crazy, some of the things they capture are just beyond real.

They do obviously edit the footage and zoom in on creatures and slow motion etc so some does look like computerised.

Why i'm stating the obvious though i don't know.

Tonight was even better than last weeks.

Once again i thought how the fook did they film this Buffalo kill for 6 weeks, then got my answer :D

They wait for days and days and days.

I think it took them 4 years to film the lot, and now theres 10 forty five minute episodes of the show plus the 15 minutes of how they filmed it at the end ish.

So actual show theres 7 and a half hours, so thats less than 2 hours of show for each year of filming, and i bet theres hundreds of people filming, and finding locations.

Who pays for all this to be filmed is what i want to know, all the people they must have to pay, flights to get them to the countries, the costs must be HUGEEEEE

I would have liked to have seen how they filmed the falling pebble frog thing though, fooking hell what was it called, forgot.

I'm just jabbering on now.

To be fair I'm not sure Sir David Attenborough would go along with a program that is graphically enhanced.

Whilst obvious editing work has taken place, there is no way the 'life' of animals on there are computerised. For someone that is passionate about Darwin, evolution and natural selection, I'm sure Attenborough even frowns upon the amount of editing that has to be done.

The way the Komodo Dragon stalked the buffalo was pretty intimidating though, and the camera guys looked pretty shit scared to me, and at some stages, I certainly wouldn't have wanted to be in that situation.

Think it's just a case of having to admire amazing camera work, Sir David himself and nature at work.

I thought the Bullfrog was pretty impressive the way he merged both bits of water together.

Komodo Dragons are awesome.

Got to be one of the coolest reptiles.

I reckon lizards in general are pretty amazing.

This program is brilliant!

It isn't graphically done and doesn't need to be. I like Life but it is a one trick pony, it's just extreme slow-mo, high zoom camera work. As impressive as it is that's really all it is.

The camera work is just a nice little add on for me. The main attraction of the program is the animals themselves and the interactions they've managed to capture on film. Killer whales in the Antarctic hunting penguins, Komodo dragons hunting buffalo - never been caught on film before. This is what sets the program apart.

Best thing on TV by a mile.

I can't believe I haven't watched this yet, sounds quality. Never knew about it. I have the Planet Earth box-set. Lovely stuff. I've nicked quite a few pictures from that series for some youtube videos I made in the past and this series sounds like it will have some special pics to steal :D

Quality last night. I guess they have such high definition that they can zoom in on a section of the whole view and then scan across it - giving the impression of computer trickery. The filming of the elephant shrew was awesome.

What sort of animals was it last night? I missed it as I was out but will watch it on iplayer.
