Guest Posted 21 October 2009 Posted 21 October 2009 ahem....hate to say i told you so but...yeah This'll be the same 606 where they've said they don't want Pearson and someone with more experience such as Strachan will it?
Babylon Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Booo Pearson out, joint top after 15 games... what a clueless shit bag** **end sarcasm.
Bryn Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Whether Pearson is the right man for the job will no doubt be in the mind of more Chairmen than Mandaric over the next year.

Scow Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Says it all Scow!!!!! Interesting to find out scored goals and how many conceded I bet not many F - 102 A - 51
stivesfox Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 I wasnt for Nigel Pearson when he got the job, but he isnt billy big bollox he isnt media hungry he has come here done a job got his head down and done a good job, I did notice when questioned on Davids coming to Leicester his body language read like he couldnt give a fook to be fair, which is good I think Davids was Mandys mission but hey ho Kingy,Wellens and Oakley boys doing job!!! Nigel Pearson will be here for long time to come and I for one think he will lead us up this season, after years of shit after o'neill this man has given us happiness back at our club F - 102A - 51
Far Post Gerry Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Im not having a dig here or starting anything, but do you believe that pearson IS the man that can push us into the premiership and keep us there for a season at least? I have faith in Pearsons ability to keep us in the championship after bringing us up, but i do not believe that he has the ability to get us into the premiership. I have to hand to Pearson that he has made our defence is fantastic most of the time, i wouldnt expect anything less from an ex defender. I understand this seasons league is a bloody hard league to be in this year and we are 2 places off the play offs which is fantastic. I just wish we could score more goals and look more attacking rather than defending all out and throwing it forward hoping one of our strikers can latch on to it. I have faith in pearson but do not believe he is the man to get us in the premiership....................ill get my coat. I'm guessing that you're the kind of bloke who would buy a Rolls-Royce, then paint go-faster stripes down the side of it.

lou Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Pearson's league record:Played: 61 Won: 34 Drawn: 21 Lost: 6 When you see that its just unbelievable. EPIC! How anyones had the gall to slate the man recently is beyond me. Sadly I agree with the comment that hes now going to be on the radar of every chairman in the country who's looking for a new manager at the helm in the near future. Hope we can hang onto him for a few seasons yet
Matt Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 What are his contract terms at the club?? 1 year left I think? Offer him a lifetime contract!
lou Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 What are his contract terms at the club?? What does that matter? Contracts mean jack shit these days Megson walked out after a few weeks! (Thank God)
StanSP Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 What does that matter? Contracts mean jack shit these days Megson walked out after a few weeks! (Thank God) Megson's a ****. Pearson's a God.
lou Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Megson's a ****. Pearson's a God. No ones come in for him yet so we dont know how he'd react if they did and as I said contracts mean nothing... just means the club will get compo if he does go.
davieG Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 What are his contract terms at the club?? I don't think there were ever announced - http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~1331448,00.html But I did read recently that new contract negotiations were ongoing so I would suspect it was for 3 years which seems the norm. Certainly that's what Allen and Holloway had.
davieG Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Megson's a ****. Pearson's a God. I know what you mean but Megson didn't have a contract.
lou Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 I don't think there were ever announced - http://www.lcfc.com/page/LatestNews/0,,10274~1331448,00.htmlBut I did read recently that new contract negotiations were ongoing so I would suspect it was for 3 years which seems the norm. Certainly that's what Allen and Holloway had. I thought he was on a 3 year but dont know where I heard that or if I just assumed Thats the usual isnt it or a lot of clubs are doing rolling 12 month contracts these days but I know NP isnt on one of them
lou Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 I know what you mean but Megson didn't have a contract. Megson was a bad example granted but you get the jist If a player/manager wants to go to the new club theyll go contract or no contract
davieG Posted 31 October 2009 Posted 31 October 2009 Megson was a bad example granted but you get the jist If a player/manager wants to go to the new club theyll go contract or no contract Tis true they help the manager more than the club, If they turn out crap they're guaranteed a pay-off and if the turn out good any compensation received is of little use to most clubs unless they're facing administration even then they are still going to suffer.
muffin Posted 1 November 2009 Posted 1 November 2009 The...... Or the..... a chance to dig out some old graphics sign of a miss spent youth. muffin
